This is my second time coming here. I ordered the brisket & turkey plate & the brisket was okay, kind of on the dry side & i ordered marbled. The turkey stole the show for me, it was really juicy & flavorful. The mac & cheese is good, i like the potato salad as well. I also ordered the brisket Mac bombs & they were good, but could’ve use more cheese in them for sure. My bf Ordered the ribs & chicken & the ribs were HUGE. He was not disappointed with the amount or flavoring on them. He got potato salad and baked beans as his side & he liked those as well. We ordered the combo plates with 3 meats. It’s is an upcharge to add brisket or ribs to the plate for each meat. So for 2 combo plates of the 3 meats, 1 with 2 brisket & 1 choice meat of turkey with 2 sides & the other with 2 choices of spare ribs and one choice of chicken with 2 sides, a lil piggie meal & the brisket mac bombs the total was $90.85. Which i feel wouldve been really worth it if the brisket wasnt dry.

Nice establishment with friendly service. There is a drive thru as well. When you eat inside, you place your order at the register, then seat yourself. The staff will then bring your food to you. The staff did stop by the table to ask how everything was occasionally and took away items when you were done. I liked the Deviled eggs, they had a good taste. The Pitmaster nachos were plentiful and good, the only thing I would have liked different was for the chicken to have been shredded. The berry crush cocktail was light and refreshing.

Awesome experience tonight! Chopped brisket and pulled pork. Hailey at the bar was fun and friendly. Really made the whole experience worth the trip. If you haven’t tried Jim ‘N Nicks in Hickory, give them a try. Service at the bar is outstanding.

Don’t get me wrong, this place is clean and very stunning when you see it. That’s why we came in and we’ve been to a lot of BBQ places. For the money you don’t get much food. I got the three meat plate and had small portions, the brisket looked better than it was and was a small amount. I love many types of coleslaw but the coleslaw I had here was not good, I took one bite and left it. The mac and cheese is cheesy but lacks flavor. Overall I’d rate a three and eat here if convenient but our experience wasn’t a knock out sadly. The baked beans weren’t my favorite and the turkey breast only had flavor from the sauce on it. You order your food and then from there is all self service, our table only had one sauce. Conveniently they have “stations” for to go boxes, napkins and etc. We thought there may be some level of service but never got checked on and with it being so busy didn’t want to get in line to ask. It’s a BBQ machine that could use some more personalization and service to improve the experience.

Had a wonderful experience tonight at Jim ‘N Nick’s in Hickory. They were very busy due to an apparent gun show in town but the service didn’t waiver one bit. The servers were awesome! Chris the manager was amazing! He greeted us when we came in and checked on us multiple times and even chatted with us a second about how the food is prepared fresh everyday and you could tell. It was delicious! This type of service is few and far between these days. We will definitely return to see Chris and the crew soon.

We love the brisket sandwich and biscuits! But I guess I’ll start checking my order before leaving. We got home to most of the biscuits burnt. And our vinegar sauce cups have hardly anything in them…

We dined in for a Pre-Mother’s Day treat and were not disappointed. Most of the food was flavorful, and service was outstanding. A few items – turkey and chicken – were cold. The ribs were not fall off the bone good… I ended up cooking them in my air fryer the next day, and it was okay. The sides were delicious, and we would definitely return for the appetizers as well. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, and I was grateful that gluten-free options were clearly marked (Celiac).

Our experience was pretty disappointing. This was our first time here and the atmosphere looked inviting hence the reason we wanted to try it but as soon as we started to order it went downhill from there. The customer service was very poor and no attention to detail. The girl taking our order didn’t even seem to care about answering our questions about the menu nor did she offer any suggestions. Then when we got our food we were highly disappointed at the portion for what we paid. A chicken sandwich and fries looked honestly like a kids meal and the nachos barely had any toppings and the cheese wasn’t even melted. Then it was like pulling teeth to get a server to help us with simple requests. Definitely not enticed to come here again.
