We vacation yearly at the same spot, right behind the 12th street boardwalk entrance. Jilly’s ice cream is awesome, I especially enjoy the peanut butter vanilla sundae and my teenage son loves their candy cake milkshakes. Under $20 for two people who are definitely going back next year.

The sign says fresh squeezed lemonade. What we got was semi-frozen funky-tasting slop. We complained to the lady at the counter and she told us she’d make us another “with strawbetry to make it sweeter.” The strawberry was chunky and kinda gross too. As for the temperature, we asked for it ‘without ice’ hoping it’d help, to which we recieved a response of, “we can’t do that, it just comes like this.” We could see lemons in the store, so maybe it was squeezed fresh at some point, maybe a week ago then frozen.
We managed to get a refund but seriously, if they treat their other products like they do their lemonade, avoid this place.
Also, the owner’s name is not Jilly. I feel betrayed.

We were excited to try Jilly’s as her businesses take up much of the boardwalk. I was disappointed when we got to the counter and the two ladies were too preoccupied with one another and their day to day drama to even greet us. The ice cream is basic (soft serve- vanilla/chocolate/twist & a couple of dole flavors) & they charge you $5.00 for a SMALL sugar cone. The staff doesn’t wear gloves and I personally asked one girl who made our cones to wash her hands. She had a bit of an attitude about doing so but did end up washing them prior to making our order. Many other ice cream places on the boardwalk, I’d say give one of those a try.
They do offer “handmade ice cream,” but it looked a bit concerning.

Website says open till 12 got there well before then. Actually got dressed, left house, and drove there. Asked for ice cream at ice cream parlor and was told they had just turned it off. Excuse me!??? I reply, “no problem, turn it back on.” You’re store is open til 12 and it’s not 12. They explained that they haven’t been busy in half hour, like i needed to know that, and that they weren’t turning it back on. Pretty much they were too lazy to clean it again. The machine takes 2’minutes to clean, there was 3 people working, and even now that I left and drove back home for 15 minutes it just turned 12. I’m pretty sure they are still there with their arms crossed talking, not working. Half hour of my life wasted without any ice cream because kids now a days are lazy.

Unfortunately the ice cream we bought was absolutely terrible and the waffle cone was so stale and hard as a rock I almost broke my tooth on. I should’ve just thrown my money in the ocean. Next time it’s Ben & Jerry’s for sure

Had ice cream with a waffle cone, which was $2.00 extra. It was like trying to eat cardboard and that’s not an exaggeration. Wound up throwing half of it away.
