Delicious food. My first time getting Ukrainian food and it was a pleasant surprise. My mushroom soup was superb, flavorful how a soup should be. The Plov was good, the rice was delicious but the lamb lacked some flavor. My wife got a chicken that was breaded and served in a rolled fashion which was delicious.

We came here for lunch, and the food was delicious! The interior of the restaurant had such unique decor, and the service was great. We’ve never had central Asian cuisine before, but we’re glad we gave it a try. We ordered the samsa, cheburek, and crispy eggplant as appetizers, the chicken plov and steamed manty as main dishes, and the honey cake for dessert. Everything tasted great, but our favorite dish by far was the crispy eggplant. The texture and flavor were both unique, and we loved every bite of the dish. This is definitely a great place to try central Asian food!

excellent service. this restaurant caters really well to large groups. I took my team of 10 to a work dinner here and we were all WELL fed and kept it under budget. there were plenty of other large parties going on at the same time and the staff was so wonderful staying on top of things.

The food tastes good; I made yummy noises when I ate. We started with the chebureki and garlic shrimp and they were very good. We got the Branzino and prime steak Plov for entrees. I would not order the prime steak with the Plov again; I plan to try the chicken next time. The steak was a bit tough and chewy. Overall, a great experience.

Jibek Jolu (Silk Road) is a great restaurant serving central asian food. While grilled meats are the center focus, salads are great as well. Good drinks menu. Very attentive waiters. Recommended

I have been wanting to try some central asian food, and this did not disappoint! I tried the borscht and manty. Both were delicious! I highly recommend the borscht, it was both savory and sweet and a little tangy. I’ve never had a soup like it!

Delightful and authentic food from an under represented part of the world. I am Iranian and Chinese and my partner is Bulgarian so this was all beautifully adjacent to but not the same as our native cuisines. It was fun to discover things called similar words because it was the version from a neighbouring country. We did the Uzbek plov and were delighted to see where it fell between Bulgarian pilaf and Iranian polo. I love manti because it is a little Chinese and a little causcaus-Russian, I have only had the Uigher version before and was delighted to try this (Tajik?) one. We had Moldovan wine and tried the special tartar chak chak for dessert. Absolutely excellent. One of my (Iranian) brothers highly recommends the (Hungarian) borscht. Please try Central Asian cuisine if you haven’t! The middle section of the spice road knows how to cook!

We came from New York for a few days and we were lucky to be in this restaurant by chance. Guys this is incredibly delicious food, solyanka is delicious, manty is the best I have tried in my life. And the ribeye steak is the best. I recommend it to everyone who lives and comes in Chicago. We will come again with our friends
