To say the food was excellent and the ambience was fantastic doesn’t do either justice. Brandon was our waiter and his culinary prowess was exquisite. He helped guide us through the evening’s delicacies and drinks with a sense of humor and passion.
We started the evening with the ricotta with Parmesan cream and my mouth still waters at the thought. My husband had the bone in pork chop which was perfectly prepared. I ordered the seared scallops with parsnip purée which was divine! We ended the evening with panacotta with lemon and it was sublime.
Chef Kramer’s dedication to excellence is evident from the moment you step into Jianna. It is a warm and inviting atmosphere with attentive staff and food that you will obsess over long after you leave. It was a wonderful experience and I highly suggest purchasing his beautiful cookbook. We can’t wait to return to Greenville as this will be our first stop.
A service of excellence, great recommendations of food and wine.
The place is very pretty it feels modern but cozy.
The food is excellent, nice seasoning, great textures, good ingredients, its a must-to-visit, if are planning to stay in the town you should make a reservation
The place is clean, welcoming, and the food and desserts were absolutely delicious. The entire staff was warm and friendly, and it truly made the experience special. Since it was my birthday, Fernando surprised us with a little treat too. He is one of the best servers I’ve ever met – he really made our day enjoyable.
Jianna absolutely deserves its Michelin Guide recognition, and our experience proved why.
Updated 1/6/26: Amazed to say the least. Took my wife out for a surprise birthday party and had been planning it all a month out. The manager Andrea helped pick out Italian food related presents for her, they printed out custom menus, and even cut and served the cake we brought. The waiter was overly knowledgeable of the food options and was a delight to have as our server.
Staff: Our server, Matt, was phenomenal. He knew the menu inside and out, describing dishes with the knowledge and passion of a chef. He was attentive, kind, and just the right amount of funny; clearly someone who loves what he does. One of his recommendations ended up being my order, and it was spot on. The hostesses we met were equally kind and welcoming, making us feel valued at every interaction.
Food: This was, hands down, the best meal we’ve had in a long time, and we eat out often. We’ve dined in some of the finest places, and Jianna measured up to some of our favorite places. My wife has celiac disease and must avoid gluten, yet the menu here was perfect for her. Almost everything could be customized, allowing her to enjoy the same experience as everyone else. The gluten-free pasta was incredible.
I ordered the Halibut, and it was the best fish I’ve ever eaten, and I grew up on an island where seafood was a daily menu item. The Fingerling Potatoes were bursting with flavor, the Tomato Bisque was smooth and satisfying, and the Summer Salad was a fresh, light start. Every dish had brilliant flavor combinations. It’s no wonder Jianna sells a cookbook! The only regret I have is not buying one to take home so I could try my best to replicate our experience at home in my own kitchen.
Atmosphere: We dined on the outdoor patio, which was perfect. The soft sounds of the street below added to the warm feeling of the restaurant, and to top it off, a musician in the park provided live music as we ate.
We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. If we could go back tonight, we would in a heartbeat.
If you’re looking for a spot to eat… stop looking and just give them a call and reserve a seat.
Andy was fantastic from start to finish. I followed his recommendations through most of the meal as well as alcohol pairings.
Wild boar shank ravioli, leeks, shiitake mushrooms, Sicilian pistachio, pecorino
paired with the “Socrates”
Gnocchi sardi. Basil pesto sauce with hailbut, tuna, and grouper, roasted heirloom tomatos and ricotta
Paired with a white wine. Didn’t catch the type. It was Andy’s recommendation
Chocolate Pistachio Bar
Feuillentine, Chocolate Ganache, Pistachio Ricotta, Granella
Sommelier Recommends: 2020 ‘Braida’, Giacomo Bologna, Brachetto d’Acqui, Piedmont, Italy
This meal was a 10/10. Absolutely go there. It’s a MUST in Greenville.
