So so good! Got a shrimp one, it was very fresh. The sauce was the real magic, it had so much flavor and made every bite different. Place is clean, service was great, and portion was substantial

The only downside I have is that it’s awkward to eat in a busy train station. While it IS in a mall, the bottom floor where this is at is home to red and blue line transfers. It’s nice when you want to stop by and eat, but it’s not so nice when people are running a foot away from your face catching the train. Other than that, friendliest people I have met. Literally insisted I did not tip them with the widest smiles. Juicy flavor on the inside with crisp textures on the out. Will come here again on my busy commute back home.

Growing up in northern China, countless JianBingGuoZi gave me energy on many mornings to schools. What this shop makes triggers the perfect trip down the memory lanes, from the first crunchy bite, to the chopped scallion left in the container. Would have loved it even more as a handheld for extra authenticity points, but this was the only thing I could ever nitpick.

Excellent jianbing and the friendliest service! Pulled pork is my go-to. I order straight from the kiosk and always quickly receive the food fresh.

Located in the basement of Block 37, between the red and blue lines.

Lukewarm. It had the expected ingredients. However, the restaurant really needs to work on the quality of ingredients and sauce. I did not feel any freshness in ingredients or authencity in the sauce.

Jian is SO DELICIOUS!! Seriously, epic flavors! WOW, I’ve never tried anything like a jianbing before, it’s like a crepe outer layer but with egg, green onions and back sesame. Then inside you pick your flavors, we got the bacon, cheese and avocado as well as the crawfish. The bacon, cheese and avocado was mindblowingly tasty, the bacon was perfectly cooked to be flavorful with a crisp, the avocado was ripe and buttery, the cheese fit beautifully with the egg crepe, and it had a yummy sauce plus some crispy wonton-esque strips. The crawfish had a decent serving of crawfish (not fried), with lettuce strips, yummy sauce and crispy wonton strips. We loved both, they were BOMB. The owner was very friendly and our food was ready in about 5 minutes. You’ve got to try Jian, this is super popular food from Northern China (I learned after researching in Wikipedia lol) and I feel lucky to have experienced it! Yummmm.

The tofu jianbing never disappoints. I only wish that it was more filling for the price, and that the atmosphere was better, but it’s an ok option for a quick bite.

What a find. Delicious, inexpensive, real Chinese street food in The Loop.

This is not microwaved, pre-packaged, or sitting out waiting to be sold – It’s all cooked fresh, with layered ingredients, hot, right in front of you – ln true street food fashion.

The basic Jjianbing is a thin batter crepe with egg, scallions, a huge crispy fried cracker (crazy delicious), sauces, and a big selection of optional fillings if you choose, all for $9 – 12$.

Jianbing is a super popular Chinese street food (look it up), and its here, in it’s true fashion, right in The Loop.

The service is fast, they move about quickly, cooking and serving everyone with big smiles and a very friendly attitude.

We stop by Jian’s second location in Block 37, a very convenient that much need an option for Asian food. You can order at the machine or at the register and the food and bubble tea arrives quickly. I love that I can both get food and bubble tea all at once. I got the classic jian bing (chinese crepe) which a tad salty but I love the crispy cracker in the middle and the egg combo. It’s quite filing. The bubble tea comes in big size, I got the watermelon yakult special and it was good. There aren’t too many seating and it’s one level lower then the street level so it’s best to grab and go.
