Superb Christmas dinner! We stuck to the appetizer and Dim Sum menu and it did not disappoint! Started with the light and refreshing yellowfin tuna sashimi salad and Peking duck lettuce wraps. Both excellent. Dim Sum included cumin lamb potstickers, 5 flavor chicken dumplings, pastrami egg rolls and scallop & shrimp dumplings. Added vegetable fried rice as well. Cocktails were delicious too! We’ll back for main course choices next time.

Love Jia! Their scallion pancakes are my favorite. The chocolate soup dumplings have a little piece of banana in them, so good!! Edit: recently tried the hot and sour soup; it was so delicious. Highly recommend.

The food is way overpriced but the food was good for the most part, and drinks were nice. Also the staff was very pleasant as well. The place has a lovely atmosphere with parking space.

We happened to find this place while traveling through Long Island. At first, we were looking for seafood, but we absolutely did not regret stopping here. Oh, their duck… it’s something else! From what I can tell, it’s their signature dish, and I highly recommend trying it before anything else. This is one of those rare 10/10 ratings that I don’t give out often. We’ll definitely be back more than once.

One small suggestion for the kitchen — please consider serving a bit more tuna tartare, because the portion was really just one spoonful.

Everything was delicious, in our first visit we tried the pork & shrimp shumai, bbq beef fried rice, sweet &sour jumbo shrimps and mango cheesecake. Each bite was spectacular.

Jia Dim Sum in Port Washington offers an exceptional dining experience that elevates traditional Chinese cuisine. The meal began with inventive appetizers like the NYC Pastrami Egg Roll and the Sakimai cocktail, a delightful blend of sake and gin. The Signature Crystal Shrimp Dumplings were a standout—fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. The Spicy XLB Shanghai Soup Dumplings were another highlight, bursting with rich, savory broth. For the main course, the Seafood Fried Rice, featuring lump crab meat, jumbo shrimp, and bay scallops, was both hearty and refined. The star of the evening was the Whole Peking Duck, served with house-made wheat pancakes, hoisin, and seasonal sauces; its tender meat and crispy skin rivaled the best found in Hong Kong. Jia Dim Sum stands out as a premier destination for elevated Chinese cuisine on Long Island.

Very good food prepared with a creative and light touch. Dishes which might be oily at other Chinese restaurants were light and delicate. Their crispy chicken was excellent as was the duck and noodles. The soup dumplings and shrimp dim sum were very good.
Ken and Dave were very friendly and hospitable. Areas for improvement: needs an outdoor sign so people can easily find the place! Also, the restaurant needs to be kept much warmer on cold winter nights.

Living in Los Angeles & having been to dozens of dim sum restaurants there, Hong Kong, and Canton, we found this restaurant to be cut above! Gourmet preparation with tremendous attention to details. Each dish was tasty with distinctive flavors. It’s more expensive than typical dim sum restaurants, but considering the quality & great service it’s worth it. Sodas don’t have refills. The “BOBO Farms Tea-Smoked Crispy Chicken” was our highlight, but every dish was very special.

The service by David & Alex was very friendly & professional. The atmosphere is bright and airy, parking is easy & free.

I wish they had a restaurant near where we live, either in Sarasota or Los Angeles.
