The blue crab raviolo and pork rilletes were my favorite dishes here. Though you could not go wrong with any of their dishes.
Their cocktails are also fantastic. I tried a few of their classics such the brandy crusta and jewel sazerac. A must if you want to try a fun twist on local drinks!
The bar was excellent. Friendly services and amazing cocktails. So creative and delicious! Great flavors.
We were able to share a few dishes. We had the crab claws, and the smoked fish balls. We split the fried pork chop with gnocchi. Everything was so delicious. Perfect comfort food. Great winter dishes!!
Amazing way to kick off a holiday weekend!
We came in on Saturday night and it busy but we were able to sit at the bar (my preference). The bartender are true artists here and every drink is unique and creative. After having a couple of cocktails we decided to get some food a little snacks.
Our favorite meal was the red fish and this was one of best dishes I have ever had. The skin was so crispy and the sauce had oysters in it was a truly balanced meal. The size of the dishes are on the smaller side but you are great quality. It was perfect for us as we’re not starving and enjoyed the size. We wanted to try the other food option but we weren’t not to able to eat anymore. The staff is able to describe the menu with such great details you get hungry from their description.
Overall 1010 and I can see why they have been recognized as one of the best bars in north america, and in the world.
We have been eating all over NOLA and some of the best bites of our whole trip were JOTS chicken liver parfait and beef wagyu tongue. Cocktails were outstanding and we particularly enjoyed the tuxedo tails, the strawberry Negroni, and the sazerac.
If you are looking to enjoy a best-in-class culinary and cocktail experience, this is the place, especially if you are lucky enough to be helped by Hannah.
We arrived at the restaurant at around 6pm on a Monday and were told that the only thing available would be a table on the sidewalk, and service would be provided to us through a door from the bar. We took it.
What we weren’t told, however, is that it was literally the only table out in that alleyway, steps away from the restaurant’s garbage area. Although the door connects to the bar, it stayed shut most of the time when someone was not taking the order or bringing the dishes, which kept us completely out on our own. When it got dark, it was dim and eerie with no one else around, except some turtle-bean-sized flies attacking the food. And if you are lucky like us, you might also get a homeless person yelling “Everyone having a good time?”, approaching you for food and money. At one point, a restaurant staff ran past us to throw away trash, nervously, as if they didn’t want to stay out for a second longer.
Even though we enjoyed the food and would very much like a second round of drinks, we felt too uneasy to stay and really didn’t want to push our luck. Outdoor dining usually means access to fresh air and a view of lively streets for us, but in this case only anxiety (and we’re travelling from NYC). Had anything happened to us, I don’t think the restaurant would be able to act on it. So let me repeat this:
PLEASE GET RID OF THAT SINGLE TABLE IN THE ALLEYWAY, for the safety and wellbeing of your guests, even if it means you have to turn them away. Speaking as a diner, I would rather walk out in disappointment than be seated there.
BEST BAR PROGRAM IN THE CITY!
I now have a new fave dish. Their Roasted Turnips over Whipped Ricotta with Citrus Vinagrette and Watercress has replaced my previous fave, Lilette’s Cold Corn Soup with Lump Crab and Avocado.
Outstanding Staff and Service!
