This is a fair review with fact checks and picture for reference.
I got 2 crepes and a drink. 45$ purchased tipped 9$
● overall the experience made it feel uncomfortable. Here are the reasons.
● ham and cheese crepe was not edible. The crepe had spread out mushroom that was not cooked at all, initially I thought it was just the edges but crepe itself was soggy and undercooked/not cooked spread out mushrooms. I added 1 more star for server and atmosphere section for their cashier who offered to remake it, I specifically requested to make it in to go box and just not have the mushroom and tomato but it had tomato and came out on a plate also soggy.
● the picture is reference to second ham and cheese that illustrates tomato and also as you can see they placed the handle of utensils on top of the sauce, I have never seen a place that serves utensils handle on top of sauce.
● Strawberry crepe was okay/goodish it was over toasted so when you cut it crepe crumbles 30-40% of it. Just basic strawberry crepe with sluggish strawberry most likely cut hours before or bad sluggish strawberry.
● overall no hate but the stuff is unorganized crepe section is seriously lacking training or they intentionally left the utensils on top of the sauce after their repeated mistake. I was kind and simple but the repeated let down is not okay when you spend money for goods and services. Individual interference of the stuff is standard/goodish

The breakfast crepe was the cheapest crepe and so delicious!! It has eggs, bacon, and abundance of cheddar cheese, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The crepe was huge! I could only finish half.

Great place if you want to spend $15 for a burnt to a crisp crepe with frozen berries and wait 30 minutes to get it while the workers are standing around talking. I used to recommend this place to everyone, won’t be doing that any longer.

One of my favorite places to visit when I’m in Northgate. Awesome drinks and a decent selection of simple food options. I had the pumpkin chai latte and a meat breakfast wrap. Awesome cozy vibes and super nice staff.

Jewel Box is an eclectic neighborhood cafe with a varied menu of coffees, teas, smoothies, sandwiches, and crepes. They have remained consistently high quality since they opened. They are great for lunch or breakfast or an anytime snack. I’ve been going there for years and years and gave never been disappointed.

Pretty good crepes! There is a lack of crepe options in Seattle, so it’s nice that this establishment serves them freshly made and with a variety of toppings. They were perfectly cooked.

The staff member told me that their menu is not up to date which is kind of annoying. Both the blackboard and the printed menu have some items that are no longer served. I don’t know why businesses do not update their signage when their menu changes. It only adds confusion unnecessarily.

The tea selection is pretty good. They serve bubble tea but it’s powdered bubble tea and not brewed fresh. Having said that, there are not many bubble tea options in the area.

There are a number of beautiful facades and fixtures that transform the interior into a cozy library rather than a soulless, new-construction box. There is a fireplace too. But a lot of the seating is cracked and peeling, the fabric furniture could use a steam clean, and the bathroom is dark.

I think the best thing about this place is the hours. They are open pretty late in an area where where the only things that may be open at the same time are bars. It’s very nice that this is a establishment that serves food and non-alcoholic drinks later at night but is not explicitly a table-service restaurant or bar. It’s the perfect place to wander into after watching a movie in the neighboring building. It has internet, so students and workers camp out on laptops. Table seating varies as a result.

This place is phenomenal. This is a real Hidden gem in in North lake Northgate area. I got a chicken quesadilla with mango salsa and chai and it was phenomenal. I would go back there and eat it again today. Update: Today I had the strawberry Nutella crepe and a vanilla chai, both were exquisite and nearly perfect. Went back for the quesadilla, it’s phenomenal.

Less services provided, higher tips charged.

They now charged tips starting from 18% (the default is set up to 20%), but they would just call you to the bar to pick up the drink instead of serving it to your table. Plus the staff are not that friendly. Then what was I tipping for?? Charged $9 for merely a small cup of coffee, much higher than other places.

Great food (enjoyed a sausage wrap), ok coffee (regretted my latte) and terrible music. Hard to enjoy coffee to “it’s always a good time, whoooaaa” followed by Pitbull and Kesha Timber. The worst
