While traveling in Anaheim, California, Mari Cruz (staff at the hotel I was staying at) recommended Jesus Mexican Taqueria in Aurora, Colorado. I finally drove the hour over to Aurora and wished I had not waited a year! The chiliquilles were amazing! I am looking forward to my next visit to try the posole which smelled and looked delicious.

This place used to be good. Now the service sucks. The Quality and portion size has dramitically dropped. I used to spend lots of $$ here. Decided to give it one last try. Place is filled with flies and what I ordered online wasn’t even ready. They didn’t even know I ordered online. STAY AWAY!!

This was my second visit. I really like what we got the first time, tacos and gorditas, they were very good. This time I got a burrito it was very disappointing mostly filler,beans and rice, very little ground beef and almost no seasoning.

Had the steak and carnitas (crispy pulled pork) tacos. Both were excellent, simple but perfectly done with fresh onions, cilantro and sides of both red (hot) and green salsa. Also tried the tamales, which totally delivered on freshness and not dried out like a lot of other places. The staff was friendly and quick (only took a little over 10 min for our large order), which was only topped by their food. A hidden gem that I am glad we discovered, that’s not too far from home.

The carnitas are prepared perfect. The green chili is not hot and is tasteless. The smothered burrito was too dry. It had too much beans and rice and not enough green chili.

Really great food! I live out in Eastern Colorado and we were craving some good Mexican food tonight. Our local places (all 2 of them haha) were about to close for the night so we had a look at some of the best looking spots in Aurora and decided to make the 35 minute drive to come to this place. We wernt disappointed! We ordered ahead and arrived about 10 minutes before they closed. They had already locked the doors for closing (understandably) but we called to let them know that we were there for a to-go order and they politely let us in to grab our food. After getting back home the food was still nice and warm and absolutely DELICIOUS. Highly recomend this spot to satisfy your cravings if your in the area or even if you’re driving a little while like we did! 🙂

We love this place!! The food is always amazing! Michelada’s are great!! The cooks are so awesome and friendly! Love them and so glad we found this place a few years ago. Love supporting local, delicious places like this!! The sopes, gorditas, and tortas are my favorite. Menudo on the weekends is so good. My son REALLY loves the cheeseburgers.
