Brandi was incredible today at the bar! The recommendations for the firecracker shrimp and the brisket cheesesteak were absolutely spot on. She made the best martini! I am honestly sad I don’t live here because I would be back so often! Such a great establishment.

Best part of the meal was their cup of Joe! The homemade chips rocked, sloppy joe was excellent. Pulled pork was pretty good, maybe a bit more sauce, the burger was totally disappointing. They were small and black and cooked to oblivion. For the price it should have had a happy ending. The Server/waitess was excellent and hustled. Charming too. But wow, too expensive and not my recommendation.

We are locals and almost didn’t try this spot because of the negative reviews… but I’m so glad we did.
People, this is a BAR. It’s going to be loud. There are sportsing games on a ton of TVs. Also loud. The bartop is HUGE and there are chairs ALL AROUND it. The bartender is SLAMMED, and that is a sign of a great bar. If the reviews about how loud it is, or how long it took to get a drink dissuade you from coming here, then you probably want a chill and quiet restaurant and not a sports bar.
However, if you enjoy bars with great foods and apps, and some delicious BBQ, then ignore every review that talks about that and give this new, local spot a try. My teenager, who is a Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak connoisseur, said this one was in his top one of two in all of Cape May. My pre-teen LOVED the Brisket Mac and Cheese (and I stole bites of his because it was SO delicious). The hubs had the brisket sandwich and I wanted to stab him with my fork and steal his. I had a salad because I’m on a stupid diet, and even THAT was yummy! Portion size is great, taste is tasty, parking is ample, and the decor is fun (especially at Christmas!).
Go during happy hour or a sportsing thing and there might be half price apps.
But good grief, do give this place a try. I know we’ll be back!
UPDATE! We have been back and are still super happy! This time we tried the burnt ends, a burger, and the two pulled pork tacos! Burnt ends were super yummy!! Build your own burger was pretty good, and the pulled pork tacos were ok. Come here for the BBQ and the Brisket Mac and Cheese! Parts of the cornbread were DELICIOUS and parts were so crunchy thwy were inedible, but I’m glad we ordered it!

Always excited to pop in to Jester’s, but I was starving for this trip and so especially pleased to be there.
We ordered a few apps – then Paige, our very helpful server, told us some were happy hour specials, and we were even more delighted.
Loved the cup o’ (sloppy) Joe, buffalo chicken dip, and perogies.
As always, and in all establishments owned by these owners, e.g. Surfing Pig, we felt like family in a place where your family takes great care to be creative and scrumptious.

This local place is great. Unique food and a fun, low key atmosphere. They have a cool rewards program and drink specials that add value. Fun trivia game on an app and lots of live music. Brisket Cheesesteak was amazing. Great salads and special cocktails. Tuesday trivia at 6pm was very fun. Old school paper and pencil game. Fun with a group. Would visit again. Highly recommend.

This place is the absolute worst restaurant in south jersey. I been here a few times and the last time I went unfortunately on trivia night. This place is you typical cape may county restaurant that would rather work one person to death then spend a few extra dollars to put someone else on. There was one waiter on and it took him close to 30 mins before anyone ever even stopped by the table. Honestly their menu items don’t even sound appealing, I’m not sure who designed this menu but it was obviously their first attempt and they failed. I can literally go to a jr high cafeteria and get a sloppy joe and French fries for 3 dollars here if you ordered the same here it would be close to 20 dollars. The overall quality of the food isn’t even that good to start with but on top it is way more expensive than it should be. I ordered a croc of chili and loaded tots they got loaded tots and buffalo chicken dip. It was 90 dollars I work as a chef at a fine dining restaurant for 108 I could have gone to where I work and got two steaks. For a dive bar to be charging the same prices as an upscale restaurant in cape may is by far the dumbest decision you could have possibly made. While you can argue the lot is always full in the 3 or 4 times I have ordered food here the bar has been completely packed and no one is sitting there eating. It’s not uncommon for bars to make more out of alcohol sales than food it’s like this place doesn’t try to make food a priority at all. If you guys ever decide you want a real chef to show how things should be done let me know I promise I’ll turn out real food and not food a lunch lady would serve. I will say their brisket was cooked well but still not worth the price tag attached to it

This was my second time at Jesters and was not disappointed. The service was slow but the food more than made up for it. We were group of six and all of our food was hot and served at the same time. Staff was very friendly.

We live 45 minutes away from Jester’s Dive Bar but we were in the area and a local recommended them for lunch/dinner. We pulled into the parking lot, could smell the smoker going and we were hooked! Jester’s smokes their own meats and they do not disappoint!
I would recommend the pulled pork sandwich and brisket cheese steak with caramelized onions. We share fries and coleslaw and it is plenty!
We have been there three times and would definitely stick with their smoked offerings.
You will love Jester’s and be willing to take the 45 minute Sunday drive like we do!!!!

This restaurant is in the space where Rio Station used to be. Major renovation. The place is now bright, with live music on the weekends. Plus, there are TVs at the bar with a Phillies game on while we were there. The restaurant was very crowded and loud the day we were there on a Friday.
We sampled a seasonal brew and margaritas, which were competitively priced. Menu items are mostly bar fare, burgers, ribs, brisket, and some salads. Everything was a la carte. Sliced brisket was tender. The BBQ sauce that accompanied the brisket was good. My partner had ribs and burnt brisket tips. He loved the brisket tips and said they were worth coming back for.
