Wow, what a find. The cooking here is amazing. Everything is perfectly seasoned. Ice tea and coffee are both very good. Shrimp salad had just the right amount of mayonnaise and herbs, and the salad dressing is delicious. Avocado toast is also wonderful. Service is wonderful.
2/14/2024. Had the French Onion Dip, the bread was really old and chewy, perhaps it was microwaved; I chose not to send it back. The Strata my partner had was consistently delicious.

They are charging upscale prices for microwaveable jimmy dean sausage and Thomas brand English muffins. Avoid their breakfast at all costs. French toast advertised in the photos except they don’t have it.

***Updates: went again today. We had the Cuban sandwich, smoked salmon Benedict, and mimosas. Absolutely phenomenal food and service! We were so happy to have another great experience with a staff that is clearly passionate about their craft. I can’t wait to go again soon!!! And if you have a wait for a table there is a great wine bar next door!***

What a wonderful little restaurant. After Valentine’s Day, my lady and I desperately needed a savory breakfast/brunch. We found Jester’s…parking was easy, the staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was perfect. I had the french toast casserole and the girlfriend had the lox bagel. Both dishes were phenomenal! My only critique would be that the coffee was just mediocre and they don’t serve bloody Mary’s. Other than those small issues, this is a must! We WILL be back for sure!!!!

Second time here. So delicious! We shared the smoked salmon Benedict and the Cuban sandwich. Both hit the spot! And, the black eyed pea salad as a side was fresh and surprisingly yummy! We capped off our brunch with Just Peachy and Poinsettia mimosas. We left with happy bellies and spirits. Highly recommend Jester’s Cafe!

Wow! Just….Wow!! From service to flavor and ingenuity, it just doesn’t get any better for Sunday brunch. 😛

After finding out about Jester’s Cafe from other reviews, my wife and I decided to give this place a shot. It also helps that Jester’s is only a 5 minute drive away for us. We were promptly greeted and seated with a smile by the hostess and, soon after, introduced to our server, Jessica. Jessica excelled all around and seemed to thoroughly enjoy her job. Exceptional service!

As for the Sunday Brunch entrees, we chose the Quiche of the Day with cheesy grits and French Toast Casserole with home fries. The quiche was a crab, bacon, spinach and white cheddar cheese and blew my mind and taste buds away. This may very well be the best quiche I have ever tasted. The French Toast Casserole with home fries was so good, I couldn’t classify it as a breakfast or dessert! LOL.

Overall, Jester’s Cafe is a hidden gem of Wilmington and we will become regulars here for sure.

I wish I could award Jester’s Cafe one million stars! Our food was spectacular! I enjoyed the Galliano Shrimp Cake Benedict while my husband chowed down on the Smoked Salmon Benedict. The traditional mimosa as well as the cranberry mimosa were both refreshing and delightful. Our server was jovial, competent and knowledgeable. She engaged us in polite conversation and made us feel relaxed. Everything was perfect! A return trip to Wilmington is a must just so we can eat here again. Kudos to all who contribute to the success of Jester’s Cafe!

Recommend by local friend as a very cool place to have sit down lunch.
Not only was it cool, the food was ab-fab.
Quiche was moist and flavorful, cuban sammich delightfully crunchy and flavorful, salad filling and tasty, staff friendly and professional.
There were five of us and not a hitch in service or quality.
Folks if you are in Wilmington NC sure to stop and eat where the locals eat, you will not be disappointed.

I came here a few months ago and the food was great. For what I got, the pricing was fair; however, the side was small, and I hope that is not the typical size if you’re getting it a la carte.

My biggest issue is that waiting in line to be seated was very disorganized for a place that I assume is typically crowded. It’s a small place, and I assume most days they’re not super busy, but they definitely need a better way to manage people coming in and out. When I got in line, it was all honor system, so it was just others waiting in line keeping track of who came in first, who was waiting inside and outside, etc.

Also since it’s a small place with as many tables that they can fit inside, I would recommend sitting outside for a quiet atmosphere.

Overall, I would come here again and hope there isn’t a long wait.

Some of the best breakfast food I’ve ever had. The historic home gives a friendly feeling and the service only added to that. This is definitely going to become a regular stop.
