Jessy’s has easily become become our favorite brunch spot, the food is always fresh and delicious, the service is always so amazing, and the atmosphere is always welcoming and up beat. First off Adrian, Manuel and Kayla are amazing!! First time here, and it was wonderful! The staff was very friendly professional and helpful. The food was great. The drinks were great. The atmosphere was fun. Nice happy hour. Wonderful indoor space. Nice outdoor space. Had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back.

I do not recommend at all! It took forever to be greeted, it wasn’t busy at all. WE waited a while to get drinks. The queso and chips were hard, stale, tasted like it’s been sitting a while, the queso was cold and the consistency was watered. I order 2 chicken tacos and 1 Steak taco – chicken was decent, the steak was tough, 2 tortillas we’re stuck together, it was partially cooked and a slice of radish and avocado on top. My husband ordered Fajitas, the beans tasted old, the tortillas were not cooked, it was very doughy not editable and the steak was gritty. Let’s say we will not be back at all.

I stopped by Jessy’s Tacos because I heard a lot of good things and the vibe definitely matched up — the staff was super nice, welcoming, and the place had a good energy to it. You can tell they care about making people feel comfortable, and that part really stood out to me.
The only disappointment was that they didn’t have ground beef available when I went. I specifically came in craving ground beef tacos, and unfortunately that option was off the menu that day. I ended up leaving a little let down since that’s what I had my taste buds set on.
Overall, it’s a friendly spot with a positive atmosphere, but if you’re heading there for something specific, I’d maybe call ahead to make sure they have it. With the service being great and the vibe on point, I didn’t want to give them a low rating — but since they didn’t have the main item I came for, I think 3 stars feels fair.

Outstanding food. The chips and salsa that they served as an appetizer were delicious. The chips were nice thick and crisp and the salsa was thick chunky and perfectly seasoned.
Probably the best chimichanga I’ve had in a long time. The salad was fresh, the rice was firm and perfectly seasoned, and the chimichanga itself was crisp without being burnt and nicely fried with no oily taste. Steak was nicely seasoned, and the refried came in a fried tortilla cup.
My wife had the flautas and was very impressed
My only knock on the place was that we had issues with flies indoor. I realize that with an outdoor seating area and the staff going in and out frequently that that can happen, but it really did take away from the overall enjoyment of the meal.
I will definitely be back.

Great mex place near the viriginia zoo area. We stopped here for lunch after our zoo visit. This place definitely didn’t disappoint. What a great taco selection. Got some veg, birrira, barbacoa lamb and beef tripe tacos on handmade corn tortillas. The tacos were out of this world. Very fresh, juicy and flavorful. HIGHLY recommend this place. Finished it with mangonada drink. Will definitely repeat this place.

Ask me…. Go ahead ask me what restaurant has had the MOST delicious and consistent service since moving to Norfolk…. Is Jesse’s Tacos. 10:10 my favorite place to eat. They have an extensive menu delish drinks and a warm inviting atmosphere. Their drinks are amazing, service is fast and I find myself here when I want to spend a night out. Service was terrible. Waitress gave us the wrong drink and tried to convince us that we were wrong, and wanted us to describe how it should taste and walked away ignoring us, then still charged us. And the drink “Dirty Harry” wasn’t even good.
Our other friend also got the wrong drink. Waitress said that the drink wasn’t on the menu, so they just gave us something. It was on the menu. And she said she would get the manager and never did.
Waters didn’t come until the meal came. They charged us for the chips. The food was ordinary. Nothing to be amazed about. Skip this place, there’s plenty of other taco establishments in the area.

Upon entering we were seated quickly, however we sat for well over 7 minutes. Our server came with water and asked what we would like to drink. We ordered our drinks and flan. The flan was great however I was not given a napkin. We waited for the remainder of our party and once they arrived we were still waiting for our server. I signaled for a server and a young man came to take our order and he was kind. Our food was delivered, however we have no flatware. I retrieved four sets of flatware and was give an ugly scowl by the female servers. I can say that the service was better prior to this visit according to the other 2 guests.
