Awesome spot had the beef soup totally worth the upgrade. The sirloin steak was amazing and the twice baked potato was delicious. I have been working my way though the top 50 steakhouses in American based on a list from far and wide and while this is not a high end white table cloth kinda place it’s awesome for what it is. Total family spot with a scratch off lottery machine and all lol. But to the family point when I sat down there was a young woman and her daughter eating as as they were leaving the little girl said bye to her father who was a bartender then her grandfather came over to kiss her goodbye. You can tell they care about the customers and o by the way the prices are great. I had a 5 star meal at Outback prices

Great family owned steakhouse. Ambience and nice typical for a steakhouse. I do like they have alot of family pictures of this show me they care about family that I love. M waitress was kind but she was new and still trying to figure few things out ths did result in one small delay but thats ok. I tried this out for lunch and I ordered the prime steak burger with bacon and sautéed mushrooms. This was so good cooked to perfection. Fries were hot and fresh. Cocktail ordered was a white chocolate martini, taste very good and I will defiantly visit and try other menu items.

High Points; Service was fantastic. Server did a good job and when she was busy additional servers would help out. GREAT management to have all your servers work together. Meal was very filling. Ordered the KC strip (14 ox), came with side salad and a potato, 2 pieces of Texas toast and a side of fried shrimp. First, salad and toast were very good and a great way to start the meal (a glass of wine helped as well). Next came the steak and potato; potato should have been a twice back, but was served a regular baked, not the end of the world but not what I was expecting. The steak was cook prefect medium rare, the way I wanted it (per my server advice I ordered it medium as their cooks generally under cook). With that said the outside was tough. They must pan cook their steaks vs over an open flame. What can happen is the sear is to high and the seasoning, in the case, caramelized on each side. This led to a tough cut to get into the steak BUT med-rare, juicy inside. With all this said I will be going back, it’s just too good of a place not to.

Great food and live music at a Kansas City Institution. My wife and I visited again after 19 years when we were boyfriend and girlfriend. Living further away makes it a little more challenging to visit when we want. This restaurant was our first quote nice restaurant. Visiting again was even better than the first time. The atmosphere is great, with plenty of Kansas City memorabilia. It feels like a classic Midwest Steakhouse. You’ll have dining options of sitting in the lounge or the den. We chose the lounge because of the live music. There is also bar seating. The service, from speaking with the host to our waitress, was excellent. Very attentive and kept us constantly updated on the status of our courses. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the sides were delicious and enormous. You will not leave hungry. The homemade garlic bread is delicious. The Very Berry lemonade is also pretty refreshing. The live music capped off the excellent experience at this restaurant. If you don’t venture out to Martin City much, don’t forget to add this place to your list of places to visit. 135th Street is not too far, and the neighborhood is excellent.

My wife and I found this place on accident and I’m glad we did. We’ve been here 3 times and we both only had the hamburgers so I can’t comment on any other food items. If you ever see the movie Good Burger, these burgers remind me of the Mondo Burger but actually taste very very good. I have a decent/big size hand and this is just as big as my hand. My wife had to cut hers in half to eat it. I didn’t have to but would of been better to. I don’t remember the price but honestly, it wasn’t that expensive compared to the amount of food you get. Highly recommended if you want a large burger.
