The highlights of the meal were definitely the lamb shanks and the mandi — both were excellent. The lamb shanks were tender and rich in flavor, and the mandi was perfectly cooked and aromatic. Every dish came out fresh and satisfying, and there was something for everyone to enjoy.
That act itself constitutes a serious breach of judgment.

Your response contains factual inaccuracies and raises serious concerns that must be addressed.
First, we entered the restaurant to inquire about buffet availability. After being informed that no buffet was offered, we left and later re-entered. Framing this as an attempt to use the restroom without intent to dine is a clear distortion of events.
Second, the CCTV footage you publicly shared does not include audio. As a result, any conclusions regarding tone, attitude, language, or intent are speculative and unsupported. Silent footage cannot substantiate claims about verbal conduct or demeanor.
Third—and most critically—you publicly posted CCTV footage in which my face is clearly visible and identifiable, without any effort to blur, obscure, or anonymize it, and without my consent. This was done despite the footage serving no legitimate explanatory purpose beyond exposing a private individual.
The posting of identifiable surveillance footage in this manner appears retaliatory in nature, rather than informational, and raises serious concerns regarding invasion of privacy and misuse of security recordings. Security cameras are intended for safety and internal review—not for public disclosure of customers’ identities in response to a complaint.
Under Virginia law, the unauthorized public display of identifiable images or video of a private individual may constitute a violation of privacy and publicity rights, particularly when done without consent and outside any legitimate security or law-enforcement context.
I formally object to the public use of my likeness and demand the immediate removal of all footage in which I am identifiable. If this matter is not addressed promptly, I reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies.
If there is a disagreement regarding the facts, the appropriate course is direct and formal communication—not the public posting of silent surveillance footage that exposes customers and invites misinterpretation.
I came here based on a strong recommendation from a friend, particularly for the lamb—which I genuinely love. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were told the buffet is only available on weekends, so we decided to come back another time.
At that moment, I urgently needed to use the restroom and asked a staff member if it was possible. The waiter flatly refused, stating that the restroom was for customers only. As a result, we chose to stay briefly and purchase a few desserts.
That decision turned out to be a mistake.
The server’s attitude was consistently rude and dismissive. He hurried through the process, throwing items into the box with a “this, this, this” approach that felt less like efficiency and more like contempt. His manner was so rushed and careless that my friend—who speaks Arabic—asked him directly if he was in a hurry. That question, unsurprisingly, was brushed off as well.
If there is one thing I can commend, it is the remarkable consistency of his rudeness.
We selected only a few sweets, yet the total came close to $40. When we hesitated in surprise, we were met with, “Then don’t buy it,” followed by more pressure to hurry up. At that point, we paid and left. My friend apologized to me for having brought me there.
I cannot comment on the quality of the food. It may very well be astonishingly good. But no matter how exceptional the food might be, I have no interest in returning to a restaurant where guests are treated as an inconvenience.
Good food may bring people in once.
Courtesy and professionalism are what bring them back.
I sincerely hope the restaurant owner takes the time to read this review.
The food was truly out of this world. The lamb and ribs were a huge hit , tender, flavorful, and impossible to resist. Guests went back for seconds (and thirds!). The variety and quality of every dish were exceptional, and the attention to dietary needs was so thoughtful.
The space itself is beautiful , warmly decorated, inviting, and perfect for a celebratory evening. The atmosphere felt both elegant and welcoming. The service matched the setting: professional, attentive, and incredibly friendly. The waitstaff made sure everything ran smoothly and we felt well taken care of throughout the night.
To top it all off, the desserts were fantastic. The sweet rice was a unique and delicious treat, and the chocolate cake was rich and indulgent , the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
Our guests haven’t stopped raving about the evening. Thank you to Jerusalem for making our event so special. Highly, highly recommended!
They are in a different location and the new location lacks some of the authentic feel the previous location had.
However, the food is still excellent. The hummus and pita bread are the best I’ve had (i lived in the middle east for 3 years too). My wife loved her beef shawarma and rice. I opted for the Kofta sandwich. The Kofta was good, but the sandwich had way too much lettuce and not enough meat. It was served with French fries that were hot and tasty.
The service was outstanding
