I left here wanting to cry. The beautiful family that owns, operates and and pours themselves into this place are all around. If you walk into any restaurant and the kids are running around, chances are great that the food is gonna be sensational, and that is the case here. I realized while ordering that it is the middle of Ramadan and that this sweet family has likely spent all day making delicious food which they themselves couldn’t eat till sundown. Everything was exceptional, fresh and made to order. The rice was fragrant and the beef was well seasoned. The hummus was incredibly fresh and the eggplant was deeply briny in a good way. They were so kind to give us dessert as well and its was incredible. A custard filled filo wrapped pastry in a beautiful honey sauce (I feel terrible I can’t remember what this was called but it was a beautiful rose color).
Good things take time, and the person who wrote a review before me saying they were upset that they had to wait 20 minutes needs to practice delayed gratification. You can’t rush good, and they don’t. 20 minutes was a bargain. I’d happily have waiting another 20 minutes just enjoying the family that runs the place.
