Every time I am in Asheville I love stopping here for lunch or dinner. The food is always deliciously satisfying. Hummus is always so fresh. I had lamb chops for the first time tho – perfectly prepared. Food is 10 out 10.
The ambiance is eclectic yet a bit too dark for my taste. It would be nice to have a few warm lamps ( or table lamps) around to create relaxing, more welcoming vibe. The tables and floors are dark wood and that unfortunately does not give the most pristine impression either. If I did not know how good the food is, I probably would go elsewhere while passing by it on the street. (Such a miss in marketing!)

I had such a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The chicken skewers were perfectly grilled, the rice was fragrant, and the hummus was so creamy and rich. We also tried the falafel and pita, and everything tasted authentic and homemade.
The ambiance is just as impressive as the food. The dining area is warm and welcoming, but the back room truly transports you — with its vibrant red patterned walls, ceiling drapes, and lantern lighting, it feels like stepping into a cozy Middle Eastern tent. It’s a unique and inviting atmosphere that makes the whole meal even more enjoyable.
The service was friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience fantastic. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to family and friends!

What a delicious and authentic meal we had at this family owned and run restaurant in Asheville. Our meals were so fresh and tasty. The service was friendly, polite and fast. Got a chance to meet the owner and his niece. This place not only makes delicious food, they also take very good care of their staff in even in hard economic times. Make sure you stop here to grab lunch, dinner or a quick bite as you will not be disappointed. Support this local restaurant whenever you can please. They are good people, making great food while supporting the local community.

Was passing through and wanted a nice e meal. Great all around experience. I had the lamb schwarama platter. It was delicious. I think this place had just opened for the day as I was the only one there at 4:30pm. Some others showed up before I left so I imagine this place can get busy so call ahead if going on a weekend evening. Great all around Mediterranean food.

Absolutely loved this Mediterranean spread! The hummus was creamy and flavorful it’s probably the best hummus I have ever eaten. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The warm pita was fresh and great for dipping. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. A great spot for sharing and enjoying a variety of dishes. The staff was also very friendly, thanks again!

The atmosphere and food are amazing! However, I was really disappointed that they charge an extra $2 for spicy harissa—that feels unreasonable. When I tried ordering through DoorDash, there wasn’t an option to add it, so I called the restaurant. I even offered to purchase another item and swap it out for harissa instead, but the staff wouldn’t accommodate me. That was very upsetting. Still, I enjoyed the overall experience and would consider coming back when I’m in town.

We came here for lunch. The decor was on point. The food was very good. The service was slow and she forgot to bring us a bottle opener for the Lebanese soda drink she brought. We had to ask her 2 times for the opener. We had the lamb gyro bowl, cauliflower appetizers , chicken gyro falafel app and Greek salad with salmon on top. Food didn’t come quickly but it was delicious.

We loved everything about this place – the food, the very personable service by staff and even interacting with other diners. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and as foodies we love to explore a wide range of cultures’ cuisine.
Jerusalem didn’t disappoint. The great reviews were spot on and well earned. During our stay in Asheville we tried to be very selective where we dined. Jerusalem easily took our top spot.
The staff were very friendly and the food presented nicely. It was very apparent the family takes a lot of pride in what they do.
I’m no slouch in the kitchen myself and fully appreciate the efforts everyone has put into the dining experience. Thanks for your hospitality and care – it didn’t go unnoticed.

What a way to feel like home! The low seats, the lights, even the check book is how our culture tends to be. Wonderful waitress, and don’t even get me started with the food. It felt like I was in my uncles backyard with his olive trees.
