Jerusalem Cafe has been at the heart of Kansas City’s historic Westport entertainment district for over 36 years. Since our humble beginnings in a two-person kitchen, we’ve grown to Four locations and a fleet of food trucks, bringing the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean to even more communities. We take pride in crafting authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes, using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients to ensure every bite is a flavorful journey. Whether you’re craving a Gyro sandwich wrapped in Fresh warm Pita Bread or a Rich Sweet Honey Baklava , our menu offers endless, distinctly delicious options. Thank you for being part of our story—we can’t wait to share our love of Mediterranean cuisine with you!

They had an event the night we went, so the inside seating was closed. The staff was over the top nice and accommodating by giving us free hummus and kept apologizing for the inconvenience. They have a little patio so we ended up sitting outside and enjoying our meal on a beautiful night.
The food is just as delicious as it was back at the old Westport location, with creamy lentil soup & warm well seasoned rice. The gyros were fantastic and the options for drinks were plentiful! Loved the strawberry mango lemonade, it tasted freshly made and the portions are huge! Definitely had leftovers and was very impressed with this location!
The staff was friendly but you order at a counter or a self service kiosk. The staff was still training and messed up my order, but they kindly and quickly fixed it. Everything about this place is fast food. Plastic utensils, plastic disposable cups, ketchup packets, salt pepper packets… even the seating is oriented at fast food style in and out. It makes sense as we were the only ones dining in and everyone else was offering for to go.
Unfortunately because we have been going to Jerusalem cafe for years in their origional Westport location and then again in their updated loctation… this new iteration in mission is a no go for us. It’s a McDonald’s of mediterranean food. But if that’s your style… go for it!
