9/11/2025 Update: I have still been going and I can say that the review below is now null and void as I have seen positive changes in the service category! Service was rated 1 star and I will move it to 4 stars.
I’ve noticed the service at Jersey Mike’s Moorpark has been inconsistent over the last 2 to 3 months and I go about once a week not always on the same day. There’s always at least one employee on shift that is in a bad mood and it’s easy to see because they don’t smile, they make the sandwich in a hurried ‘can’t wait to get this over with’ fashion and just look visibly apathetic. Even a couple weeks ago a female employee tossed the sandwich to the next station, spilling some of the contents out of the sandwich lol. Today was the same lackluster customer service and I also witnessed an employee with dirty blonde hair and a mustache eat 2 cookies from the tray meant for customers, grabbing them with his bare hands no less. Not sure what’s going on because I have brought these observations to management before but clearly as long as the sandwiches are good, mediocre service is acceptable.

When it comes to having a sandwich, Jersey Mike’s is my go to place. The sandwiches are always exceptional and the staff is always pleasant and welcome you into the store. An incident happened today. I bought a chicken salad sandwich (regular) and paid cash, but I forgot to give my phone number so I could get the points. I discovered this when I got home. I called the store and spoke to Ezra. I told her that I forgot to mention my phone number and therefore did not get points for my sandwich. I also didn’t have a receipt. I explained this to Ezra and she put me on hold for a moment to check and see if she could find my order. She was able to locate it as I had a two dollar coupon which was associated with my order. This made it easier to locate. I gave her my phone number and she gave me the credit for my points. I appreciate the time that she took to do this for me even though it was not an urgent request. She certainly goes out of her way to help a customer. Thank you so much, Ezra. I really appreciate it.

Ordered three sandwiches one was a tuna specifically stated lettuce pickles tomatoes mayonnaise that’s it ! and for whatever reason the server girl decided to put oil and vinegar on my tuna sandwich,, it was disgusting and I did not ask for that , by the time we got back to the job and found out my lunch was ruined cuz I didn’t have time to go back thanks a lot ..
will never go back ,,,by the way. Mike’s way on any sandwiches is gross

This is the third time I have had a bad experience here . Seems like no one pays any attention to what you say or how you want it. I ask for light mayo they slap on extra! I have 30 mins to get food and eat it. I called to explain my sandwich was smashed and she could have cared less rooms me she will tell the manager without even asking for my phone number to make it right. I understand no one wants to make sandwiches for a living but that’s their job and not one person in there acts like they enjoy it . The man with curly hair who maid my sandwich paid zero mind to what I asked for . Here the photo my sandwich shouldn’t look like this . I will no longer go to Jersey Mike’s. And I usually eat there multiple times as I work next door

Very poor customer service the help does not know how to talk to customers, the help looks like they rather be at home playing video games, No wonder they are hiring cant get good help, 07/20/2024 the portions are smaller

My sandwich was made accurately and quickly with a really wonderful friendly attitude by Jesse. He was very accommodating when I asked for my cheese to be sliced on a machine that hadn’t just sliced meat. They were just about to close for the day, yet Jesse did not make me feel rushed at all, he made me feel like family. Awesome customer service!

I went after lunch time on Sunday to order a sandwich for my wife and was greeted very nicely. I order my sandwich ask the lady to add Mayo on both sides of the bread and she just squeeze the mayo on the bread and I ask her to spread the mayo on the bread and she replied she had know way to spread the mayo on the bread when there is a knife just two feet away to spread it on the bread. Also was not clean around the meat slicer and the bread was a little stale.

Most everything about this place is amazing. I had my puppies out side when my partner placed our order . He is a us Military veteran and sometimes messes up . He did that with our order possibly . And when I went inside to fix my order . The girls behind the counter made me fill so unwelcome and seemed upset that they had to re make food . Yes people order the wrong food it happened . My biggest issue is they talked about the customer in front of the customer . I get your upset that someone made a mistake and someone came in and say hay this is not what I wanted, can you please redo this? There’s no need to be snarky or to make your customers feel stupid. I get this may be like a college part-time while you’re home job but if you wouldn’t make your mother feel stupid for making a mistake. Why would your customer?
