Each time I’ve come in, the staff seems rushed and impatient. On my most recent visit, two employees were asking me different questions at the same time and expecting immediate responses, which made the ordering process unnecessarily stressful. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt hurried.
There is also a noticeable attitude from certain employees, including the girl at the front and the bearded employee behind the counter. I politely asked if my tomato could be chopped. I was told they don’t do that, which is perfectly fine, but the response was delivered with visible frustration and attitude. It’s not the policy that’s the issue, it’s how it was communicated.
Unfortunately, this is the closest location to me, but I’m not willing to spend nearly $30 on two subs and receive poor service in return. Customer experience matters just as much as the food
And turned around the following week TODAY and my coworker ordered the same exact thing and had almost the same familiar experience … weird plastic item in Philly found in last picture
I am not an Oceanside native for reference, but I wanted to eat at Harney’s sushi and I parked in the parking lot which I now learned belongs to Jersey Mike’s. In the parking lot, there was a sign that clearly stated a particular side of the parking lot was reserved for customers of the Tommy store. There was no such sign posted for Jersey Mike’s so I thought it would be OK to park, mind you this was at 10 PM when Jersey Mike’s was closed.
Lo and behold I come back 30 minutes later and see that my car has been towed! It was very dark, but now that my car was gone, I could read a very faded paint job that said the parking was reserved for Jersey Mike’s. Even, so it was 10 PM. I really don’t understand why management would care that I was parked there.
Do not listen to the responses of management in these reviews, saying they are not responsible for cars being towed!!! I spoke to the man who towed my car and he said the manager (like a complete loser) spends his time after closing hours watching on Camera to see if anyone parks in the parking lot so they can call the towing company. Imagine having nothing better to do on a Saturday night and wanting to create trouble for people for no reason. I hope this manager seriously gets a life one day. I’m a college student and I had to pay $560 in addition to getting a $40 Uber to the towing place! This manager is an evil person and I definitely will never be going to Jersey Mike’s.
I’ll never be coming back to Jersey Mike’s again. Not only was the sandwich mediocre at best—sloppy, overpriced, and nothing special—but the way they treat their customers is even worse. While I was inside grabbing food, they had my car towed from the lot. Imagine paying for a soggy sub just to walk outside and find your vehicle gone.
It’s hard to enjoy any business when they clearly don’t care about people. Between the lousy food and the predatory towing, Jersey Mike’s is officially on my “never again” list. If you value your car (and your taste buds), do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.
