Service is NOT GOOD, they seem in a panic every time I go in there, rushing about. That or you’ll be treated like you are an inconvenience for wanting to grab some food. Make sure you google Jersey Mike lingo because you’ll be expected to know it before you step foot in here or be met with exasperation and a deafening glare.
The first time I went into this location they were throwing around Jersey Mike slang terms expecting me to understand what they were asking for. And don’t try to order right off the bat here either…
I stepped into this location the woman behind the counter asked what I wanted, so I began my order. Immediately she cut me off and said “I’m not taking the full order I just need to know what you want” and then proceeded to rush through 3 others orders and didn’t make what I wanted.
But I’m fair, I like giving chances. So I went back. And my order was messed up again, not what I ordered.
They rush through things without asking what you’d like. I’ve been trying to try the Asiago bread for my last two orders. But either they begin prep without asking, or it arrives (delivery) without the right bread, even though I asked for it.
The bag says “Very little has changed” I certainly hope this store is an anomaly compared to the rest because I’ll happily go to subway or Jimmy John’s instead.
On top of that, whoever trained the employees at this location clearly has no idea what the correct amount of mayo is, because the sandwiches are absolutely drenched to the point of being disgusting.
It’s honestly unacceptable. I live three minutes from the Fountain location, yet I refuse to go there anymore. Instead, I drive 25 minutes to a Colorado Springs store just to get a sandwich made correctly and have an actual positive customer experience.
That should tell you everything you need to know about how poorly this location is being run.
I then spoke with the shift lead, who initially said the same thing. After some discussion, he confirmed that the sandwich hadn’t been made at all. I understand that mistakes happen, and I appreciated that he ultimately agreed to make the sandwich so I could pick it up. However, the situation felt unnecessary, as the item was already paid for and should have been resolved without needing to speak to multiple people. After spending over $50 I would think that I should be able to get the sub I initially paid for without all the trouble.
This visit was the final straw. It’s made me lose all trust in Jersey Mike’s as a brand, and I’ll be warning friends and family about the type of behavior this location apparently considers acceptable. Honestly, people are better off spending their money somewhere else.
On top of that, the food handling and cooking practices I witnessed were far from acceptable. For the sake of public health, this store should absolutely be evaluated by state inspectors.
