Jersey Mike’s Subs. Just absolutely a delicious treat. I was traveling through southern KY and happened to see a few of these locations and decided to come in to eat.
I got their signature, the Philly cheesesteak, just how they make it. It was by far the best Philly cheese I have had ever. The cheese was absolutely delicious and melted perfectly onto the meat. They slice all of it right in front of you and it just makes that fresh feeling all the better.
I don’t see how Subway stays in business with these here.
When we were finally addressed, we weren’t welcomed or asked how we were doing—just abruptly asked what we wanted. We ordered a Club Sub, but before we could finish, the employee rudely interrupted and told us to tell the next person our toppings. Once we got to the toppings station, no one asked us what we wanted; we were only asked if we wanted it “Mike’s Way.” I said yes, but specified no tomatoes.
While paying, we noticed tomatoes were being added anyway. I politely reminded the employee about my request, and she yanked the tomatoes off both sandwiches—leaving behind juice and seeds, which we had specifically asked to avoid.
As this was happening, the cashier raised his voice to ask if we wanted a receipt because we didn’t hear him the first time—likely due to being distracted by the other issue. When we finally received our sandwiches, they were missing bacon and mayo, despite us clearly ordering the Club Sub.
The service was poor, the staff seemed untrained on how to prepare the menu items correctly, and the sandwiches were not up to the usual Jersey Mike’s standard. It was an unfortunate and disappointing experience, and I truly hope the service at this location improves.
