The folks working were nice. When I pointed out that the bread was cut so unevenly that the top was paper thin and thus soggy and not holding together, they just said the rolls are “really hard to cut sometimes.” They didn’t offer to remake it or give me a discount. It was a normal steak and cheese with lettuce and tomato but a gluten free roll, so it was $15 just going everywhere. They forgot to put cheese on the sub. It’s like they just weren’t paying attention to what they’re doing. I could have walked out without paying and should have, but I didn’t
Thankfully I was alone because while I did manage to pluck all the pieces off the paper where they fell and put them in my mouth, it was messier than eating a taco.
Perhaps it would help the folks working here to get a little closer to the middle of the bread if they had some kind of cutting guide. I don’t know how to resolve the lack of attention span.

I’ve been to over a hundred different Jersey Mikes locations. This store in Staunton (exit 222 off rt81) is hands down the best one of them all. Vincent put together a original number 13 Italian sub and grilled the meat and bread as requested. This was the most delicious sub I’ve ever had. I will definitely be returning to this Jersey Mikes location. Top notch on every level. Excellent work Vincent.
