Running helter skelter on a Monday afternoon left us with no time to cook. And, with another couple of places to get to before they closed, we decided to pay a visit to this sub shop. I know it’s been there forever, but we’ve never stopped in – so it was time to remedy that.

As newbies, the employees had to walk us through the process, but that also meant that we got to watch them do their thing. Luckily there was not a long line so it was not impinging on anyone. We started by selecting what we wanted from the overhead menu. We ended up with their #10 (Tuna) and #55 (Chicken Cheesesteak with additional mushrooms). We got both on the wheat bread versus the white or the white with the parmesan on top. Once ordered, the order taker slices the bread and the meats and cheeses. Nice touch having the sliced to order! In our case, he was only slicing the bread and the cheese for the Tuna sub as the tuna itself was already prepared and the cheesesteak was being prepared in a back kitchen.

The next step is for another employee to decorate the sandwich with the toppings and add any that you choose. There are limited options here compared to other sub chains, but the employees were generous with quantities and were more than willing to accommodate any request for extras, or removal of items. Finally, they offer to pour on some of what they call “the juice” which is basically a red wine vinegar and oil mix. There is also a dry herb mix they sprinkle on. Then, the sandwiches are cut, wrapped, and bagged.

In the case of the cheesesteak, it was cooked in the back and showed up after we paid. They also had a kind of hot sauce that they offered which we took advantage of in a separate container. This was quite good. It tasted like Giardinera peppers with some additional heat thrown in.

The sandwiches were tasty. The tuna mix had celery in it which was nice and was not overly mayonnaisy which can be a turn off. If anything, it was on the dry side, so we should have asked them to pour on some “juice”. Lesson for next time. Of all the sub places on this street, this was probably the best one. The only reason I do not give it a five star rating is because there is a limited amount of topping and bread choices. A few more veggies and not just shredded iceberg lettuce and additional sauces and this would have taken this place over the top!

I found a review from 7 years ago that I posted that was not great so I had to delete that review and give everyone an update. I’ve been going to this location regularly lately and it is terrific, the food is good and the service is great

The food was good and very fresh. We had two different subs and enjoyed them both. The price was reasonable for what it was. The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms. I found the staff to be cold and seemingly indifferent. Felt as if I was at a government office instead of a food service business.

Tried to use a gift card today, but the register would not take it. For some reason it said offline. This gift card was never used before. My only given option then was to use my credit card. Disappointing. Then the table was not clean. Ohhhh we were also told the sandwich would take 7 minutes. I know the guy working there does not have a crystal ball, but 17 min later we got the sandwich. Not enough time to eat the whole sandwich as we had practice to go to. The sandwich (what we ate of it was good) but overall a very disappointing experience.

i’m 21 years old. i myself work in fast food and completely understand the frustration of some customers. however, i never write reviews that are bad. i find them unnecessary and petty at times, but the experience my family and i had today at this jersey mikes was a bit shocking and to see how my mother, brother and his girlfriend were treated set me off. older woman with glasses at the front counter was extremely rude to my mother — who has severe social anxiety, and is an older woman who doesn’t go out much. she rushed my mother on her food, did not ask her if she wanted any toppings on her sandwich, and made her feel as if she was an inconvenience when it came to paying in the end. my mother didn’t initially have enough on her card at first, and she wasn’t aware — very millennial mistake, but not something to be rude over. my mother wanted to simply pay the rest in cash since her card was charged for half of the payment, and instead the woman behind the counter became visibly frustrated and canceled her payment altogether. mind you, it wasn’t busy at all. there was one other couple in the store eating, and my family and i were the only people to enter, so we weren’t being difficult or creating any trouble for these workers. the girl who made my sandwich was polite and considerate over all, but did rush me just a bit. i don’t care about being treated a certain way, but i do care when it’s people i care about. a main factor in customer service is patience and respect, which was not shown to my family. my brother and his girlfriend were also rushed and treated as an inconvenience. the workers in this specific location are not polite and considerate. we are not rude people, we use please, thank you, and aren’t demanding. it would be nice if this team at this jersey mikes location could be more mindful, patient, kind, and overall respectful.

Never been there before. OMG, where have you been all my life? Bread was soft and fluffy inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. The meat was freshly sliced in front of me. Veggies were super fresh & crunchy and dressing spot on! Can’t wait to go back♡ Staff was very friendly and efficient.

This is one of the best sub shops that I have ever been to. All of the workers are nice and professional and Travis in particular, is an awesome employee. Every time I have eaten here, the food has always been prepared fresh and tastes fantastic. I would also like to acknowledge their procedure when it comes to people who have to eat gluten free. My wife has to and they are always willing to accommodate for her. If I could rate this place even higher, I gladly would.

First time ever going to a jersey mike’s and I will return! It was lunchtime and there was a line. I expected this, as it is a business area, and I heard good things! The customer service was good, and the sandwich was delicious! Totally worth the wait, next time I know to order online for my lunch break!
