Ordered chicken Philly, asked for mayo and to substitute the American cheese for provolone. Got American cheese and no mayonnaise. Ordered another sandwich and asked for pepper on it, got no pepper. Too updates: offered a genetic response but not someone to actually make it right and remake the order. Still ordered again from here and it’s always the same issue. This is not a $24 sub. This place will never change. AVOID.
Update from 1/30/26:
Still horrible. Below is a collage. Top is a ham/salami/provolone double meat and cheese. Barely anyway cheese or salami. The bottom left is the club sub just normally from the same order. Has nearly the same amount as the double. Bottom right is a jersey mikes from Reddit user that’s been eating there everyday since 1/1/26 and it puts this JMs to shame. Don’t go here. Find another JM in the area. I think I’m done giving them any more chances.
Update from 12/25:
Feels like every time I order from this location and they see “extra meat and extra cheese” they purposely put nothing on the sandwich. Paid nearly $25 for the one sub and every thing but the cheese was a single layer. But the other sub we ordered normally has twice as much as then double one. Also I always make sure to tip well – so it can’t be that. I’ve been to plenty other Jersey Mikes locations and never have this issue. I actually have a family member who works at another location and said this is horrible and they shouldn’t look like this. This place is a rip off – avoid it and drive to the Atlantic Highlands or Holmdel location.

Do you love salad? Do you love bread? Then you’ll love Jersey Mikes in Middletown because that’s what you’re getting. And maybe some bones in your turkey – and a manager who won’t call you back. If I’m paying $24 for a whole sub – it should be a nice sandwich. I can go to Slater’s and get a monster of a sub for less. Even with extra meat/cheese, there’s nothing on it. I almost feel like once they see extra meat/cheese on an online order they give you less. Literally happens every time I visit. I avoid Middletown and go to the Holmdel Jersey Mike’s – 80% of the time it’s worth the money there. Save your money, go to a local Sub Shop.

Ordered five subs , one with no onions and light lettuce , guess what yall lazys did ? you did no onion light lettuce to all five . Also ask for rosemary bread for two of them and only got it for one , also very little meat and no oil and vinegar on all subs , the owner should be ashamed of himself

Middletown location on weekends I just noticed will make you wait even if you order one hour ahead . Then what is the point of ordering ahead of time ? I waited in store another half hour and told them they forgot about me twice . And then preparer or bread and meat confirmed no point of ordering since if you come in person it’s faster . Then close your online ordering and stop ignoring people who wait in store while these workers joke around

My most recent visit to this establishment has been nothing but pure joy. Jake, A young man working behind the counter was such a nice person, I seriously admire his professionalism. He crafted up a cheesesteak that took my breath away. That sandwich could’ve been swarming with cockroaches and I still wouldn’t have hesitated to eat it. The horseradish sauce was unbelievable. This place and it’s employees is truly a work of art.

I read most of these comments and all of them are terrible.
My horrible experience at this specific location was I had 4 orders. I told the young man what I needed and all he did was huff and puff for everything trying to get a laugh out of his coworkers. I always leave my order last I asked for extra provolone and extra pepperoni Italian sub on gluten free bread. He forgot I asked for extra and his coworker said you forgot the extra provolone and while he is telling this young man he is getting red and pissed off his face was beat red. I was getting scared for myself but more for his coworkers who knows how he treats them. He cuts his coworker off and says I didn’t ask for extra provolone as he grinds his teeth and looks at me. I was literally terrified. I was so scared I wanted to cry. I left the store because I was shocked that someone is speaking to me like this. So I walked outside to get some fresh air. I walked back in and told the kid he needs to calm down. He then tries to kick me out the store and the manager comes out and is basically on his side and tells me to leave. I just paid for my food and left. I called to complain thinking I’d get the owner of this location but no I got the same manager, she didn’t want to hear what I have to say she hung up on me.
These people take the job to represent this company and not even the franchise cares enough to do something. Hire me for a good price and I’ll make sure this is top tier.
People should not work in customer service if they have nasty attitudes especially this store is the worst I’ve ever encountered.

I keep ordering from here, even though I should know better. I consistently request extra meat, but I never receive it. The quantity of meat and cheese is very small. Other than that, the food isn’t too bad.

Ordered a #9 giant and they didn’t add the bacon that it comes with on my sandwich. It’s bad enough it’s almost a $20 sandwich! And on top of that they were incredibly rude and behaved like they wanted me out fast. The girl kept rolling her eyes and when I said thank you, they didn’t respond. Yet they’re the ones that should be thanking the customers. I’ll never go back! And I’m sure that’s how they want it. Since it felt like I was bothering them. If I could I’d give them a fat zero.

The Manager at this location is completely rude. My Cheesesteak came and had no peppers no onions, and she lied saying I ordered it like that! I pulled up the order where there were CLEARLY no changes made. She yelled at me , and hung up the phone and wouldn’t resolve my issue!! Do not support this Location. This is the worst experience ive ever had, and I love goin to Jersey Mikes !
