I called the store to inform them that my order was incorrect and requested to bring it back within 30 minutes for a refund. I first spoke to a man, the manager, who had no issue with the request. Then a woman named Andrea, the district manager, came onto the phone. She was very rude and unprofessional. She refused to provide a refund at first because she said she was the one who made the order. I explained that the preferences and specific instructions I requested were not followed.
She then contradicted herself and said they would not be providing a refund because the store had been “losing money.” Her statement was unprofessional and frustrating. I tried to resolve the situation by offering to come to the location and return the food for a refund, but she still refused and only offered to remake the order. I asked her to provide a policy, rule, or section from Jersey Mike’s stating that they cannot issue refunds due to “losing money at the store.” She did not answer and instead hung up.
I called again to resolve the issue, and once again, district manager Andrea declined to help. I do not want to dispute this any further. I still have the food in the bag and would like to return it for a refund. Telling a customer they can’t have a refund because the store is losing money is unacceptable and has nothing to do with the customer. The sandwich was not properly made and was not edible. I always order the same item from another location near my home and have never had issues. It’s not a coincidence that the problems happened at this location.
If they continue to refuse a refund for their mistakes and unprofessional behavior, I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. All of this is unnecessary—customers should be treated properly.
On top getting hold of Jersey Mike’s corporate is so difficult!
With all the other choices in the area I picked this Jersey Mikes because of the quality I remember receiving when I lived in town growing up and through the 90s and early 2000s… very good always as ordered fat sandwiches.
NOT ANYMORE… Sad experience.
Will definitely not be wasting my money at this location anymore.
