I visited a few days ago and ordered the O.G. BETR BRGR. The burger was good very soft meat. I was excited about this place but the service was disappointing the employee at the counter stayed on the phone during the transaction and was noticeably rude and couldn’t answer questions about the menu as he seemed to be upset that I interrupted his phone conversation.
The burger was made incorrectly with only one patty. When I mentioned it, the employee responded dismissively, which added to the poor experience. With a nasty tone he was like “don’t you see me making you another burger?” (How am I supposed to know you realized your mistake?, you could have been making another order)

The burger tastes great and the portion is generous. I personally don’t like cheese, so without it the flavor is a bit less rich. But I will continue to support!

I absolutely LOVE Jerrell’s. Their burgers are delish and I LOVE their shakes- especially the pineapple shake. I get the service might be hit or miss, but the food is still amazing and you don’t have to be plant based or vegan to enjoy the food. Highly recommend.

So sad. I loved this spot when it was in Hoboken. So I recently visited the JC location for the first time. The service was non existent, the guy seemed like he didn’t want to be there. The food court looks kind of abandoned. The food didn’t taste at all fresh or anything like I remembered. The burger was meh at best. But the absolute worst part was that halfway through eating the lukewarm fries, I found a USED KETCHUP PACKET in my fries!!!!!!!!! I will NOT be back. I hope the NYC location hasn’t gone down too, though I’m too disgusted to even give that location another chance.

I just ate here. I guess I can state that I had a vegan burger for sure. Paid $10 for a bun, lettuce, onions, pickles and sauce. Overworked employee completely forgot the patty. I make it a habit of not buying food in JC and this just reinforced that decision. What a ripoff.

Food is mediocre. The price is outrageous, 13 dollars for a burger. That’s before fries and a drink if you buy one from this spot. For reference a coke can here is 3 dollars. As for the burgers, they taste about as good as one from any other fast food restaurant (McDonald’s, Burger king, etc.). The food quality is definitely not worth the price.

Jarrell‘s was the only place open during the blizzard of 2026. Nico at the Jersey city location really looked out, I was making food for everybody when nobody else was here to do so. I really appreciate him taking an interest in making sure the community was fed.
