Did a three hour ride to stop here. Was not disappointed. Good service and good food! I had the special for Saturday which was a hot ham and cheese sandwich, fries, and drink for $9.00. When it was brought out I was surprised at the size of the sandwich and the amount of fries! Needless to say some of it went home with me. Friendly people and good food. What more do you need?

Pasta bowl was good, and burger was sizable for the price, with lots of cheese and toppings, but unfortunately it was way overcooked, way past well done, though nothing was specified. Very dry. The onion rings were also way overdone, to the point of being super crunchy and brown. Maybe ours was a fluke? Would have been a good value if properly cooked. Good service.

Burger was top 10 in Iowa in 2023. Pizza is a great choice here, nice and crispy. Also love the grilled shrimp on Saturday nights with salad bar. You can ask for melted butter with it. Hashbrowns with cheese and onion are phenomenal. Garlic parm wings are great too! Combo baskets are sizeable. If you’re looking for frills, this isn’t the place but if you’re looking for a burger and beer (or soda) this is a good local spot that’s been around for years.

We are from out of town and we stopped to get a bite to eat! Definitely glad we did ! Service was quick and very friendly! Food was very good and mind you I am a very picky Eatter lol! I had a pizza and my husband had a pasta bake! Definitely would eat here again!

Their lent buffet on Friday night is great. 5 different kinds of fish both fried and baked. The baked cod is awesome. Fried and boiled shrimp were huge and very tasty with cocktail sauce and melted butter for options.

Stopped on a Tuesday early afternoon for a late lunch. The bartender was also the cook. I had a pork tenderloin and fries. The tenderloin was big and not paper thin like many that are plate sized. Fries were good and ample. Beer cold. A good place to stop for the usual lunch fare.
