On a business trip from Chicago. Nice little cafe style place in MALL food court. Food was good but a little bit salty. My shrimp Curry was made on order. Plantains were good. Cabbage was really good but a bit salty. Jerk chicken was good too. Customer service was good. Will be back if at the mall again.

Came for the pineapple bowl, the service was fast, polite, and the presentation was impressive. I don’t take pictures of my food before I eat but this was the exception to the rule. I will be back for another pineapple bowl. Highly recommended, was even asked what I was eating and where I got it from from a local dinery… didn’t disappoint.

First off, I am a person that loves jerk food with a passion and go to many different places to try jerk food. I don’t normally do reviews but since this place is in an established mall as GSP I thought I should make a reply. I was skeptical at first on ordering because from the looks of the display the food wasn’t appealing but it had a great aroma coming from the kitchen. I ordered the side Jerk Chicken, since they did not have any jerk pork so be it. The side jerk chicken was so hard to bite into. You could clearly see the chicken was overcooked and I did not taste any jerk in dish. It tasted more on the sweet side than smoky jerk side. Service is poor. Workers are just on their phone and don’t exemplify the definition of hospitality. I was referred to this place from a colleague and was excited to go but not excited after I left. I would give another try if food is fresh and looks more appealing.

Pretty good jerk food items. I mainly get the Oxtail combo from them. Tastes great with steamed cabbage and rice.
I also like the Patties they make, both beef and chicken are worth trying.

Let me start by saying this is a preliminary review until the scheduled opening approximately August 1st. The Jerk Shack was serving food at the Pop Up food market that ran for several months ending in July. They were ok then and the food was good. I’ll come back and re-review after it opens. Went on a Tuesday afternoon. Young man at the cash register was a mute no greetings and not a thank you. Got the lunch special for $8 boneless jerk chicken with plantains. Both tasted like stale leftovers hard to chew and the jerk was salty. First & last time i will be ordering from them.

Customer service for this place 4 but the food was really like a 3 to be completely honest.

I’ve eaten here twice. The first time I ordered the jerk chicken, which did not taste like jerk chicken… in a bad way. I usually always pass this place in the food court and decided to give it a second chance, so the second time I ordered the stewed chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. With that being said, food here is a hit or a miss. Additionally, the bald heavy gentleman at the counter is often times very rude, poorly dressed (always in a dirty shirt, no gloves, etc.) and has a terrible attitude towards guests. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because the food is displayed nicely and the decor has a cool island vibe about it. Overall, I would rate 5.5 out of 10. Again hit or a miss.
