Hustle & Grow
2.22.26/approx 2pm – I called in our order about 1.5 hours before arriving. We found this place on Google and drove from Sterling, VA to try. The vibe inside and the two guys were very pleasant and welcoming. We didnt get to eat until 7.35p. However, we can tell that the escovitch snapper was freshly prepared and it was flavorful, as well. We’re happy that we ordered 2 plates and a medley of sides: collards ( & way too salty), cabbage, plantain, & rice/peas. When next we’re in the area we will definitely return!

1. Stir fry shrimp w/ white rice: is amazing! As a veggie lover it was the perfect amount of flavor and veggie
2. Shrimp curry w/ Mac & cheese, rice & peas: the peppers and onions are cooked perfectly they are not soggy or undercooked, the shrimp is also cooked perfectly, they are large and perfectly cooked.
3. Brown stew chicken w/ veggies, rice and peas; WOW! So tender and delicious.
I go back and will always go back

My husband and I were craving something truly satisfying, so we decided to visit Jerk House—and what an incredible choice it turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, the gentleman at the front greeted us with warmth and was wonderfully informative, setting the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
We ordered the beef patties, oxtail, and jerk shrimp, along with the cucumber ginger juice, and WOW—every bite was an explosion of rich, bold flavors. The seasoning was spot-on, creating dishes that were nothing short of perfection.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere was welcoming and inviting, making us feel right at home. Jerk House has truly mastered the art of delivering an exceptional experience through both service and taste. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience at Jerk House! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. I ordered the Rasta Pasta with shrimp—top tier flavor and perfectly cooked shrimp. The whole red snapper escovitch was packed with flavor, and the pickled peppers gave it that authentic kick I was hoping for.
What really stood out to me was the veggie patties. They came with jerk sauce automatically—and let me just say, that made my day! No other Jamaican spot I’ve been to does that unless you ask (and even then, they try to charge extra). Jerk House gets it right. Great food, great portions, and great service. I’ll definitely be back!

The first thing that was alarming to me was the lack of smell. Usually, when you visit a carribbean, island, bbq, or similar spot, you can smell it blocks away. I smelled absolutely nothing… not even when I was directly on the premises. However, I wanted to give them a chance anyway. I wanted some bomb jerk. Lol. The cashier was very friendly and kind. She was sniffing a lot as if she was sick, but I was praying she just had allergies. I thought it was just me, but my husband mentioned it as well. The food was rather costly for the quality. Their curry gravy saved the day. I was looking for some hot, well seasoned and full of flavor jerk chicken and jerk sauce. Both were pretty bland to me, and the chicken tasted like it was a day old and reheated. While picking up my order, I decided to order two sides of curry chicken gravy. Now that was really good! I placed it over my rice and peas and some of the chicken. It helped a ton. I almost forgot, the cabbage was . It tasted like it was cooked right out of the bag without rinsing it or anything. The plantain were ripe, but could’ve been cooked just a little longer. My order was skipped by accident, so we waited longer than we should’ve and they forgot to give us our drink, but we turned around right after leaving out to get it. Last, I ordered 2 beef patties while waiting. The person that placed them in the bag knew they were hard and burnt but served them to us anyway with hopes to get them sold. Had I not been waiting for the rest of my order, I would’ve taken off and would’ve had to take the loss. Overall, the customer service was excellent, but the food wasn’t great. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

First, shout out to the owner Nick! His hospitality and that of the entire staff made the visit worth the while.

When I say that I could not get enough of the food and that this place is authentic! IT IS! To know Caribbean food, be a born Caribbean woman, and to have been raised in Brooklyn, NY…I’m very picky about anything labeled Caribbean because my household cooks it and I grew up around it. This place did not miss one bit on the seasoning, fresh spices/ herbs, and the flavor presented in every bit. The jerk chicken had a nice kick to it and the rice and peas were divine! The festival was only missing a bowl of cornmeal porridge lol but it was so good!
Overall, I found my new spot and as soon as their rooftop opens and they start selling breakfast, looks like I will be back!

The lounge where you can sit down and eat was not available for some reason the day I went. The esthetics were nice, and I think it would be a nice place to grab a bite to eat when it gets warmer. The service was good and did not have any complaints. I got the curry goat combo with rice and peas and plantains. It was solid, nothing to write home about, tho. The jerk pork combo with rice and peas and plantains was ok. I think the pork is sliced a little too thick in my onion. The rice and peas were solid, and so were the plantains surprising. Normally, they don’t like the way they do plantains at Jamaican places cause I prefer the way nigerians make it where it’s sliced thinner. Also got the jerk wings and they were delicious, would definitely recommend them for sure. Also, the feel of this place kinda has a budget liqour store vibe as well. They also have red stripe as well. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend it.
