The jerk shrimp pasta, & Jerk Chicken Nachos was super fye! We also tried the Jerk Salmon, beans and rice and Mac n cheese. Their Mac n Cheese tasted like it came from the box Mac n cheese so I’ll pass on the that but everything else was so so good. I can’t wait to try the other location we was told it was better lol. I also know I have to go earlier because I wanted to try the egg rolls but they were sold out

I went to Jerk 48 on 67th street on Sunday December 14 2025 I had 2 orders 1 order was 2 Alfredo pasta shrimp and chicken with jerk chicken burrito. 2nd order was Alfredo pasta shrimp and chicken and dark meat chicken with yams and Mac and Cheese. I live in South Bend I drove 2 hours home eat my food the 3rd bite I ate I had glass in my food. I called they was close they are close on Monday. I called on Tuesday couldn’t get through. I called on Wednesday as soon as they open. I explain to the manager my situation and I said I don’t know what you could do for me because I stay in South Bend but I just want you to be aware that I found glass in my food. She said glass I said yes she said we don’t have glass in this restaurant. I said well plastic than. But did u hear what I said so I repeated myself. So she said sorry about that but next time you in chicago I will replace your order. Give me your name a number and I will text you my info. I gave my name and number and she said she will text me. We’ll its Monday 5 days later I hear nothing from that manager. Bad business it smell good and the food taste good well the first 2 bites I ate was good. I was mad about my food especially spending 60 something dollars on 1 order and 90 something dollars on the second order..

The staff were really nice, but the food was trash!! The veggie plate I got, the sides tasted straight from the can or box! Not made with love at all! My daughter ordered jerk wings, they were ok but sides were tasteless and definitely not homemade! For the price, they charge it should’ve tasted better. Never again! Smdh

Highly upset to spend 131 dollars all for a whole meal to be missing today. Can’t call the restaurant because the number not working for some reason. Last time I ordered i didn’t get my jerk sauce and bread, then another time. Maybe its time for a new system have a person checking the order only because these meal cost too much for this to be happening.

Waited nearly an hour for jerk chicken at Jerk 48 and ended up late to a performance because of it. The food might be decent when you’re not on a schedule, but the timing and organization were rough. The service felt dismissive and unprofessional, and there wasn’t much communication about how long the wait would actually be.
I understand small spots get busy, but an hour for a simple order without clear updates isn’t reasonable. If you’re in a rush, this probably isn’t the place. Hoping they can tighten up their service and customer communication.

A staple of Chicago. A carryout location. A decent size menu. We ordered the Jerk Chicken and Shrimp Pasta and Jerk Chicken Philly it was delicious and plentiful. Definitely recommended when visiting Chicago.

I’m a very picky eater. I’ve seen some of the reviews. I don’t know. I loved it. I had the six wings special with two sides, which were cabbage and yams then it also came with rice and peas under the chicken chicken with smoked to perfection yams we’re all right. The cabbage was awesome. Very soft. Great I loved it. Probably eat again there before I leave. 23 and some change I paid

I ordered veggie plate shrimp taco and whole dark chicken. I ask if it comes with bread and sauce. Cashier says yes. I get home. There is no bread and only one small jerk sauce. The shrimp smelled fishy so I didn’t even eat it. The chicken was dry. The rice was crunchy.
