What an absolutely wonderful place. I was helped immediately and all of my questions were answered so well and kindly. I felt welcome and appreciated.
My first pasty! Savory. Filled to the brim. A complete meal. Delightfully warm even after I got it home even after a 2 hour detour (an ode to its original purpose). A flaky but strong crust then held together and never failed me. I was very happy.
They also offer frozen pasties so you can take them home and bake them for 30-40 minutes. I’ll be picking some up on my way back down!

I was in Calumet for the day and I had to stop by for pasties. They absolutely did not disappoint. Best traditional pasty I’ve ever had, and I recommend trying the green pepper pasties too. They gave us a green pepper pasty to try and I’ll definitely be going back for them next time I’m in town. Excellent service and very friendly. A must stop when you’re in Calumet!

Only got the beef pasties. Both the filling and the dough needed salt. The pastry was nicely formed with a good traditional crimp, but the filling didn’t have enough structural integrity to not fall out at the first bite. Pasties are supposed to be hand pies. I should be able up hold it and eat it without making a mess or needing a fork.

We were passing through town and my husband wanted a fresh pasty. We stopped at Jen’s Kitchen and his pasty was warm, had a light, flaky crust and was packed with flavor. I got a chocolate chip cookie and it was also delicious. Also, prices were very affordable. There were many other tasty looking treats but that will have to wait for a future visit.

Just wanted some cheese soup that they serve every Tuesday just for it to taste like cardboard and moldy cheese. The color was orange which it never is and the texture was grainy. Would not recommend!!

The breakfast pasty is the best pasty I’ve ever had. We got here at about 9:45 Monday morning and got the last one. Savored every bite! They said the breakfast pasties go pretty quick on Mondays, so plan for a stop!

Delicious pulled pork sandwiches, beans, and mac & cheese! Best food we’ve had in the UP in 2 years. Not a place to sit down and eat though. The bars and cheesecake were good too!
