Jeff’s Bagel Run is hands down one of the best bagel spots around. The bagels are always fresh, perfectly chewy, and loaded with flavor, and the schmears are unreal — generous, creative, and clearly made with care. You can tell they take pride in quality from the first bite. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient, even when it’s busy. This is the kind of place that turns a simple bagel into a full-on experience. Absolutely worth going out of your way for — once you try it, you’ll be back regularly.

We had such an incredible experience with Jeff’s Bagel Run in Downers Grove, and I cannot say enough good things about them. We placed an early morning order as a special treat for our teachers after parent teacher conferences, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
From the very beginning, their attention to service and detail stood out. The Downers Grove staff is truly fantastic. A special thank you to their shift lead, P, who was so kind, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. P walked me through the order from start to finish, answered every question, and made sure everything was handled smoothly. The follow through was exceptional, and it was clear that they take real pride in what they do.
It is rare to find a team that combines efficiency, warmth, and professionalism so seamlessly. You can tell they care about their customers and about being a positive part of the community.
We are so lucky to have Jeff’s Bagel Run right here in Downers Grove. I truly cannot recommend this location highly enough. And of course, beyond the amazing service, they have the best bagels ever.

This was my first visit, and I am glad that I visited. My initial reason for stopping in was to use the Too Good To Go (TGTG) app since the store was nearby where I was driving to buy gasoline for my car. (The TGTG app is great for finding new places like JBR.)
I was able to choose six FRESH BAGELS for my TGTG items. I was happily surprised regarding the variety available. I SNACKED ON THEM FOR TWO DAYS, AND THEY WERE STILL FRESH!!!
I also ordered a large, COLD-BREW COFFEE to go with the bagels. The ordering and pickup sections were clearly marked and conveniently spaced so that customers did not need to wait in a line for their drinks/food.
I like that there is an app to be able to order/pay ahead of time. It also includes a FREE BAGEL on the FIRST VISIT as well as points to get FREE ITEMS as points accumulate from purchases.
The BEST THING that I almost did not even notice was that the young man taking orders at the register was a student in the high school District 99 Transition program. He was pleasant took my order right away. It was wonderful to see JBR helping to make opportunities for persons of various abilities and skills. (The rest of the staff were also very efficient, friendly, and helpful.)
I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

Okay, if you haven’t been here you need to NOW. The bagels and the craft cream cheese is just… everything. You’ll want to go 1-2 times a week. And when they are fresh, it’s chefs kiss! Banana bread latte is solid too! The owner is is awesome. Such a friendly guy! 🙂

Delicious bagels and delicious coffee! The banana bread latte was absolutely delicious.
The Asiago bagel with the chive and onion cream cheese was perfect together. Probably one of the best bagels I’ve had in IL!
They had limited space indoors for seating but they have outdoor seating that had plenty of seating. Will definitely be back!

I attended their soft opening today, and left in a great mood. Friendly owner & staff, made waiting tolerable. I’d say I was a bit overwhelmed by so many yummy options and ways to combine flavors. That just means I’ll have to go back! The coffee was good too! I refrained from trying their pumpkin spice latte since it’s been 90 degrees lately, but it was calling to me. They had oat milk options for us lactose intolerant people as well as vegan cream cheese options! Very reasonable prices, clean, and inviting atmosphere. Love the logo! OH. I went with the blueberry with strawberry cream cheese & a banana bread latte!

We just happened to stop in 10 minutes before closing and WE. WILL. BE. BACK!!! They only had two flavors left. We got one of each and tried two different cream cheeses. They also let us sample the cream cheese flavors. All delicious! We also got two coffees; the banana bread cold brew was particularly good.
I’ve been wanting a great bagel place in the area and I think we’ve finally gotten it. Really fresh, chewy, fluffy bagels. And super nice people!!

Great bagels and cream cheese! Line was long but went pretty fast. Staff was friendly. Bagels are boiled and baked leaving a soft inside and a nice texture outside. We ordered the cream cheese trio to try the different flavors. We ate the bagels so fast I didn’t even have time to snap a photo of them. Everything was excellent!
