Amazing staff, so friendly and chatty!!
The food is absolutely incredible, Ottery needed this place!
We will be returning time and time again. If you’re considering giving it a go, you 100% should. The chicken tikka wrap and Hakka noodles are incredible!

Absolutely blown away. Every dish on the table was bursting with flavour – and cooked to perfection. The kind of food where you take the first bite and immediately look at each other like “wow”.
The staff were genuinely lovely too – welcoming, attentive without hovering, and clearly proud of what they serve. You can feel the care from the moment you walk in.
I’ll be honest: with that many glowing reviews, I half-expected them to be exaggerated or pushed. Nope. Not even slightly. This place deserves every single 5-star review it has… and then some.
Easily one of the best restaurant meals we’ve had. We’ll be back – soon.

We popped into Jeffery’s Eatery on Mill Street for dinner during a visit to Ottery St Mary, hoping for a great contemporary Indian meal. The place has a lively, welcoming vibe—friendly staff, clean and modern interior, and it’s nice that they offer a good range of options including vegan and gluten-free dishes.
It didn’t quite live up to the hype we’ve seen online. The flavours were good but not particularly bold or memorable compared to other top Indian spots we’ve tried in Devon—some dishes felt a bit safe or one-note. Prices are reasonable for what you get, but with sides and drinks it added up more than expected for the overall experience.

I honestly don’t think I can find the words to describe how delightful this restaurant is!
Starting with the service. The staff were so helpful, polite and friendly. They even went out their way to entertain my toddler when he started getting a bit restless!
The atmosphere is incredible, it feels compact but not small, so the staff are always close by making it feel intimate and charming.
Now onto the food. Honestly this is the best curry I’ve ever eaten.
The poppadoms came out warm and I was stunned and how fresh and tasty the onion salad was with it. I could have happily eaten a massive bowl of that alone!!
We tried the masala peanut chaat, which was also incredibly tasty.
The highlight of the whole meal was the chaat bombs. Honestly, it was like heaven in the mouth!! Perfect flavours and textures!!
I opted for a chicken tikka masala with a pashwari naan as a main and the masala was really creamy and the chicken tender. The pashwari naan was almost borderline pudding with how incredibly sweet it is, but not taking you away from the main dish, it worked perfectly together.
All in all this will now be my go to restaurant. It is completely worth the trip and great value for money.

We had such a lovely experience at Jefferys Eatery tonight with our 4- and 5-year-old. From the moment we arrived, the team were absolutely wonderful with our kids — so kind, patient, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole evening relaxed and enjoyable for all of us.
The service was amazing throughout: attentive, friendly, and thoughtful without ever feeling rushed. And the food… honestly delicious. Every dish was beautifully cooked and full of flavour — one of those meals you’re still talking about afterwards.
It’s not always easy dining out with young children, but Jefferys made it feel effortless. We felt really well looked after and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend.

After a while, I finally found a place that serves real Indian food around Exeter! The taste was authentic and comforting, just like home-cooked meals. Special thanks to Chef Arvind for preparing such genuine Indian food—it truly felt like home. The staff were very respectful and helpful, especially Mandeep, who provided excellent service and made the experience even better. Truly a great place.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. The food is amazing and so tasty, it has to be one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. The owner is so passionate and friendly about her business and was super helpful. I had Meat Samosa chat, Chicken Jalfrazi and peshwari naan. The naan bread was coated in a sweet delicious glaze which made it so moorish. The Jalfrazi was the best I’ve ever had. I feel another visit to Jefferys coming on but will dine with them next time to get the full experience.

We visited to celebrate a 70th birthday, and the host truly went above and beyond. The service was exceptional, and the food was amazing! We’re not from the area, but we will definitely make the journey back again.
