Honestly, I’ve been living in the area my whole life and this review was a hard one. The price point for a diner is a little high. The food was mediocre. I’ve been recently to the restaurant a few times and everyone is just ok. I would say, they stay operating because it is on a main highway and there is no other game in town. This time we ordered a tuna melt. It came on white bread, no tomato. The French onion soup tasted like it was watered down. The breakfast omelet was ok when I asked about it. Included is a receipt for price point. The waitress was great and she pro idea great service. Also!! Since when does a diner not have tap water and only bottled water? Is there something wrong with your water???? Why the bottled water only?? Seems so silly, go to WAWA instead and get a sanwhich. And I don’t know how this is voted #1 in Morris county cause there are way better options out there. They are still riding the coat tails of when dinners drive ins and dives came to the restaurant when they were good.

I’ve been here a few times and really liked it. The staff is usually friendly and the place is clean. The food is good diner food. If you’re someone who appreciates a good, reliable, old school Jersey diner experience with a laudable French toast and a nice milkshake (that’s so damn hard to find these days) then this place might be for you. If you’re looking for a trendy restaurant masquerading as a(n over-priced) diner, you might want to go to TOPS instead, because you probably won’t find your vibe here.

I just can’t wrap my head around the prices they charge – especially since their food is mediocre at best. It’s not lost on me that prices have gone up everywhere, but their prices are significantly more than any other diner I’ve been to. Diners are supposed to offer affordable dining. They charge $18 for a cheese quesadilla, they charge $10 for a stack of pancakes (JUST PANCAKES- NO SIDES) and they only offer bottled water. I ordered an Athenian wrap and the chicken was barely cooked. The little basket for fries was not even close to being full (see photo). At every other diner in the area, you get a heaping side of fries. The whole establishment just screams greedy and cheap. You shouldn’t have to pay $20 each for a lunch meal that is nothing fancy at all.

Stopped here after my doctor appointment in the same parking lot. I have not been here in years the atmosphere is the food is good but way way way over priced. Yea they were on TV twice but who cares. For diner in small town in the middle of nowhere New Jersey. It is way over priced. They charge you for water, wow. Go to another diner

The food was really yummy. Service was fast and friendly. I love that a tavern is attached to it so there is a family friendly feel to one side and an adult feel to the other. But tvs everywhere and fun decor! Definitely will be back!

If you’re in the area, this diner is pretty amazing. The food was fresh and the portions are enormous. The service was stellar. The vibe was fun and welcoming. The menus have to weigh 5 pounds because the offerings are pretty lengthy. After a day at the Lake it was a great place to eat
