Jefes offers solid bar fare when it comes to food and drinks, and the staff’s service is top-notch. However, despite its Mexican theme, it’s missing the authentic soul. The predictable wall portraits—Frida, El Chavo, and others—feel more like decor than culture. While it’s worth a single visit, it doesn’t quite foster that warm, come-back-again cantina feel.

Chiquito, pero picoso, is what best describes this restaurant/tequila and beer taproom. So far I have had the chicharrón and guacamole which has a great traditional yet spicy flavor that takes you back home to el rancho of Mexico. The art work which I’m told comes from Oaxaca depiction of my childhood artist and before my time as well. From Frida Kahol, Pedro Infante, Emilano Zapata and much more. Truly one of a kind place and the music goes from Spanish rock to 90’s indie rock and traditional Mexican music. Come support the vibe and the wonderful culture of Mexico to Wenatchee. As Jefes say “The Spirit of Mexico in The Heart of Wenatchee”

Came to meet friends arriving at staggered times tonight to celebrate a birthday. It was very busy and as we tried to enter the door, the host was not welcoming at all. He blocked our path and told us he had to see if he had enough seats. There are many nice ways to tell guests that due to fire codes, they need a seat for every person and to keep the aisle clear for servers. The host delivered that message like a prison guard! We felt extremely unwelcome. Others in our group who came in earlier when the bar was near empty told us they got the same treatment. (However, it’s a BAR and people go to bars to meet others. )The server was great and our drinks as expected. We left to eat somewhere with more charm and hospitality. We talked later and we all agreed, “we came, we saw and we are not going back anytime soon.” At the very least, put a sign out explaining you have to check in with host to find a seat. We didn’t appreciate the bums rush at all. The tequila bar is great idea and I hope you find a way to not kick potential guests to the curb.

Great, fun place. Service is awesome and very professional. The food & drinks are always good and consistent. All the great tequila options and beer on tap is . Can’t wait for warmer weather to sit outside. Great addition to Wenatchee dining options!
