Bout as country as it gets. Outdoor seating, smoker right there on the side, a couple little chihuahuas guarding the parking lot, it’s clear this is a small mom and pop business.
Everything was good, but the collard greens were probably the show stealer for me. Fried okra was fire too. The sausage was aight, but the fatty brisket and ribs were great.
Portions were healthy, service was super kind. I was pleased!
I just wish they put the sauce on the side!

Awesome, great food and service. I felt very welcomed here and taken care of. I got a Beef and Sausage Sandwich and that stuff is the sauce. Highly recommend. This place is underrated for sure. They even have 2 dogs that are chill and cool to hangout with while you wait on your food. I felt like it was actually pretty quickly served considering its fresh barbecue. Maybe 10-15 minutes. Great place!!

BBQ was very delicious! We ordered the potato with brisket/pulled pork and my wife the brisket plate. The sauce was damn good and the brisket super juicy!
Food was so good we had to take a break/nap on our way back to make it home . Would recommend.
*One note is they don’t have public restrooms but not an issue because there is a gas station 3 minutes away and the restrooms are very clean.

Found this place looking for a lunch option next to my workplace. Had some good reviews so decided to give it a try.
Small place tucked in the countryside but you can’t miss it. Quite visible from the road. A lot of parking spots. The seating is very casual and outdoors (covered roof).
Food – The flavor was good. Fries were crisp. The coleslaw was fresh. I took the two-meat plate with brisket (based on their suggestion) and sausage. The sausage was good. The brisket flavor was good but not impressed with the cuts I got – had way too much fat on it. Probably the only negative thing I experienced with the food.
I would like to come back and try more options.

Very rude lady I asked a question about my food and she gave me an attitude! Nasty animals running around outside that makes you not wanna even get out of your car! My chicken was sooo dry and tough I couldn’t even bite into it. Scratch all my mouth up. Rice smells and taste spoiled! Never coming back!

Amazing ribs! We came here on our way to the Brazos Bent State Park, and stopped for lunch. it is a simple BBQ place with a lot of character and very nice staff. We had ribs and pulled pork, along with a cooked cabbage. everything was perfect.

A delicious stop on our way back from Brazos Bend State Park! I had the 2 Meat Plate with brisket and sausage–both very tender and flavorful. My sides were fried okra and potato salad, which really hit the spot. The quiet atmosphere and outdoor seating were very appealing. The folks working there are very friendly and attentive. DON’T MISS IT! It’s about 2 miles from 288, so it’s very convenient for travelers.

As I was traveling back from Brazos State Park, I saw this place in the mail and decided to try it, and not an I glad I stopped! The food was delicious! I got the ribs, sausage, and brisket, which came with two sides and a can of soda. I chose the onion rings and the potato salad; the onion rings tasted great and had a satisfying crunch to them, and the potato salads was flavorful and a good pairing with the bbq. For one the customer service is terrible the lady that prepares the food is very ignorant , they skimp your meat as if you are a child . You can go to Heb bbq and get more food and better service than this . They also have dogs walking around their establishment while giving you your food it’s just completely disgusting and unsatisfying. Don’t waste your time here .

Delicious food, ordered a 3 meat plate. Had the brisket,sausage,chicken, was really good price was great as the portions were great in size. Plenty of food no matter the appetite. Service was excellent very friendly. Definitely will be returning. Eating area is outdoors and have shaded seating or in the sun.
