Caught this place on my way by on I90. I’m glad I drove the extra two minutes for this over the chains down the block. Excellent Ethiopian food and a proper injera serving to go with it! I had the veggie sampler and it was excellent. Definitely worth a stop.

We went and ate there last week. The food was cold and sour. The waitress didn’t even bother to check our table and there was another table. She didn’t come when we needed refill for our soda. We asked for a fried rice, but we got curly fries. We went to paid at the counter and even left her a tip.

I tried Jebena for the first time, and I’m so glad I did! After having eaten lots of other Ethiopian food, I think Jebena is just as good, and in many cases even better, than other Ethiopian restaurants in nearby Sioux Falls or the Twin Cities. I hope people know how lucky they are to have this in Worthington and take full advantage!
My husband, our 2 year old, and I split a mixed platter and we all loved it! I’d highly recommend so you can try everything. My husband’s favorite was the doro wat, the 2 year old’s favorite was the yellow split peas (not spicy but still so flavorful), and I thought the shiro was the perfect level of spicy. And of course, you have to order sambusa.
I will absolutely be going back the next time I’m in the area.

Amazing to find a vegan restaurant in a small town in SW Minnesota just off the freeway. So good and owners are so kind. Definitely stop! They also have stuff like smash burgers for the less adventurous.
