It is a place of rest. The equivalent of finding shelter in a storm.
No matter what trials and tribulations you may be enduring, no matter what new chaos has ensnared the world today, you can walk into Jeannie’s and forget it all.
The atmosphere is quiet but joyful. Though the dining area is small, it doesn’t feel cramped a bit!
Occasionally the quiet is replaced by the sound of cheerful, warm waitresses dropping by to top off your coffee and see how you’re doing. They are genuine, kind, and really care about your experience!
It goes without saying that the food is superb. How could the food be bad in a place like this? It would be completely unexpected! You walk in to this cozy, friendly environment where you are greeted with kindness, and then served bad food? It’s just not going to happen!
Though Jeannie has passed, her loving and warm spirit lives on through this place. So when you come through – leave a big tip, cover another table’s tab if you can, be generous! – because this is one of the few places left where you are treated like a human and we should seek to pass this on!
Great breakfast, daily specials, and everything is made in-house. The fresh-cut fries are terrific, and so is the homemade bread pudding.
I recommend the Sloppy Joe with french fries!
