Had dinner there on a mid week evening there recently to catch up with a friend and enjoyed the experience. Atmosphere was relaxed and service was great. Dessert not as good as the other food but the other food was top notch as well.

I was on my way home, lucked out and stopped at JD, first time visiting.
I tried their sirloin medium rare and, long story short, they raised the bar for what a steak should taste like: simply amazing!!!
The staff was great and the place was carefully decorated and cozy.
I can’t wait to go there again.

Strongly recommend the early bird menu, definitely value for the money.
We got chicken wings and ribs as the starters, they were really good, I personally like the ribs more it tastes a bit sweet but still very delicious and tender. The chicken wings are not my type even though I can handle spices.
We ordered steaks as mains, would recommend T-bone more tastes more juicy. For the slides, we got veggies just the average, the mash tastes kinda dry
But totally it’s worthy revisiting again!

An old favourite of mine, been coming to JDs for much of my teenage and adult years, their early bird menu is hard to beat for value, it’s the best place to get a bit of steak outside of the city centre for me. Always cooked perfectly, the starters, sides and sauces all pair well and the staff are great any time we visit

Wow , first timers and it was so delicious, hubby ordered tomahawk medium and it came out medium rare , no problem at all , chef sorted ot out and it was perfect.

Unfortunately, even one star feels too generous for a restaurant that has steakhouse in its name. It was not difficult to notice from both the smell and the toughness of the meat that the steaks we ordered were not fresh. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it was served medium well. I could have tolerated medium, but the difference was significant and quite disappointing.
The chunky potatoes, at best, to have been steamed earlier in the day and then fried just before serving. I can honestly say they were the stalest, blandest, and least flavorful potatoes I have ever had.
JD’s Steakhouse has become number one on my list of restaurants I will never try again. The floor staff were friendly. However, they did not ask at any point whether everything was satisfactory. That is why I felt the need to share my feedback here.

Absolutely fantastic, local steakhouse. Sam on table service was an absolute gentlemen. Going above and beyond to accommodate some very restrictive dietary requirements (coeliac and veggie).
Starters were perfect, mains were even better.
