Had heard good things about it and went to check it out. I ended up get the chicken and veggies for someone sick – perfect for on the go idea to help someone out. The bbq Mac n cheese was amazing, my daughter and I shared. We also got the chicken corn chowder for dinner and it was delicious as well.
Would recommend for a great lunch spot (they have sandwiches too), or to grab a home cooked meal when you don’t have time to cook or want to get something for a friend.

Placed a to-go order for breakfast on a Saturday. Estimated time for when it would be ready was spot on! I ordered the farm fresh eggs meal. Seems basic, but somehow JD’s made it taste incredible. Hash browns were crispy, eggs cooked perfectly, bacon… wow! And don’t get me started on the toast!!! When you walk in you can see all their fresh bread cooling. I didn’t think I could be in awe of a basic breakfast meal, yet here I am. My husband ordered their chorizo burrito and it was HUGE and delicious. We tried a few of their sweets – they didn’t disappoint – and I got some take home meals to try later today.

You will not beat their prices anywhere for the amount and quality of food they provide. They have take-home entrees to feed the family, fresh milk, and delicious pastries. Even better staff that couldn’t be nicer! Easily best to-go lunch in BG.

JD’s is one of those hole in the wall places you don’t want to miss.
They are serving up all sorts of comfort foods and have delicious daily specials. I’d recommend to order ahead by phone or online, as their food is made fresh.
First thing to know is that not only do they have daily menu items, but also well stocked fridges full of pre made sides and dishes ready to be warmed up. And on top of that, there are fresh baked loaves of bread and plenty of sweet baked treats.
As for their menu items, there are wonderful options for breakfast and lunch. The other picture I put up are from when I had their fried bologna sandwich, something else you don’t want to pass up.
For this review, I had the cream cheese stuffed toast with raspberry spread and homemade whipped cream. This French toast is something you don’t want to miss. The bread is crunchy on the edges and fluffy on the inside. It is stuffed with tons of delicious cream cheese and when topped with the raspberry sauce and whipped cream, makes for so many satisfying bites.
The biscuits in gravy are also noteworthy, as a good made from scratch gravy can be hard to find, and JD’s is making some really good gravy.
All of this said, JD’s is the place when you need your comfort food fix.

Stop what you’re doing, and get in your car right now because you have GOT to try this place out!!! Everything is made from scratch, even the bread of my BLT was so amazingly fresh and delicious. The desserts are also wonderful and the prices were great! I could not believe how good everything was for how little I paid!! I will definitely be back soon!

Small, unassuming bakery. The storefront is packed with great food. They have staples like homemade granola, cookies and bars along with daily specials for lunch and dessert. They also have premade entrees and/or sides ideal for family meals. Everything is very tasty and not over-priced.

First try was a series of delicious experience. The store has many treats and bakery goodies to choose from on the shelves and behind the counter. Take away, bake at your home items as well in convenient containers. Full menu of sandwiches etc from the kitchen. I will come back to try some actual food on the strength of the banana bread and one of those Can’t Leave Alone Bars.

I honestly can not say enough about this place! Most people that know me, or have come in contact with me, have heard me raving about JDs! I was a fan of their restaurant years ago when they were in downtown BG, then sad to see them go. But they came back! I’m so happy they have a store location, where we can enjoy their wonderful lunch creations, bakery items (my son’s favorite), take-and-heat dinner items, and glorious breakfast (on Saturdays). They are always great with service, always smiling and helping. Very highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!
