JD’s Brew Pub, owned by brothers Jeff and Dan Morlok, has been serving the Southtowns since 2016. Built from a simple idea—great beer, great food, and a great place to gather—JD’s has grown into a community favorite for nearly 10 years. Enjoy JD’s Famous Cod Fish Fry, weekly food specials, rotating craft beers, and a full lineup of entertainment including line dancing, karaoke, and trivia nights. In the summer, the Brew Volleyball League brings players and spectators together for fun nights on the sand, while winter guests love our direct access to the snowmobile trails. Stoped in here for a quick lunch with the wife, nice local bar in town, I ordered a blue moon and the wife a blueberry mule. Both were fresh and tasty , food was tasty and not bad priced. Pool table and sports were on at the bar. Overall nice quaint bar.

The food is good, the service can take forever sometimes. They shortened their menu which sucks but I understand why when it comes to money.

In the town for an overnight, my hotel recommended JD’s for dinner. I sat at the bar to relax after a long drive and enjoyed awesome service. This is a relaxed atmosphere of a hometown favorite. I ordered a salad – my standard dinner treat but changed it up considerably from the menu offering. My request was accepted without a flinch and the outcome was amazing. Having had two weekends of marginal salads at chain facilities in other areas I was more than surprised to have a wonderful dinner with kind service!

Prices were really good. Fish was big enough to be shared in 2. However salads (mac salad and coleslaw) legit had zero flavor. Like none. Flat and all you could taste was either the cabbage or noodles. Fries were seasoned great though. Also had the provolone sticks, which were good. Waitress was unclear when asked questions, never seemed to listen and wasn’t that friendly. It was very loud inside as well. More then expected. I was disappointed w my drink and barely touched it and was still charged too. Every time we needed something someone different brought it out. Wait time was over an hour just for food. 30 mins for appetizer. 5 min wait for table.

Food is always good. Our waitress was great. I have an issue with walking into a place with 15 open tables and told I have to wait 15 minutes for a table. I’m not a restaurant/ bar owner but I do know some common sense stuff. If you seat someone and they have to wait for food they usually won’t mind if they have a drink. In the end the customer is happier and you put a few more dollars in the register. This has happened to me several times now and it makes me absolutely crazy.

Stopped in JD’s Pub after walking out of a different restaurant that we had a bad experience at. The waitress we had was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the cowboy bourbon burger with sweet potato fries and beet the heat burger with onion petals. Both meals were great. The burgers were juices and full of flavor.

Everything was pretty good my beef on wick with wings …wings could habe had more meat on them …my wife seemed to like the Mac burger service was pretty good they forgot to drop are appetizer we got it after the entrées but they comp it for the mistake..prices fair
