Wednesday night is wing night and they are not kidding. My boyfriend was hungry when I got home and I want to come here. He said it better be good. He got 30 wings for $15.00 they are so good. I had brisket coleslaw send friend okra platter. We had French fries for appetizer to start A coke and iced tea. The place was a former school house. Beautiful inside and has outdoor patio. We will be back.

We discovered JD’s BBQ by accident on a Saturday. Thought it was a church because it looks like it once was. Really good BBQ and fixins. The signature salad is delicious as well. Multiple BBQ sauce selections, but you have to ask for them. Only the original & sweet sauces are on the tables. Main dining room literally reminds you of an old church sanctuary including the squeaky wooden floors and the wooden benches in the booths. There is outside seating as well as a bar. Close to downtown Acworth on S Main & they have locations in Woodstock & Canton. Definitely recommend if you like BBQ.

We were so excited to try JD’s! However… I received a water cup this dirty as a refill and it instantly made me question the cleanliness of this restaurant. Truly made my stomach turn when I was having dinner and I went to reach for the new water and I saw the grime around the edge of the cup I instantly wanted to leave.

This is the second time visiting this place. The first time was just okay. Their Brunswick stew is horrible. It has zero broth. Its just meat. Today was the worst. They cut the beef brisket with the grain so it was just long strings of meat. They cover it with sauce. Good smoked meat doesn’t need sauce. The crinkle fries tasted like they were reheated. The beans were so sweet, I couldn’t eat them. The total bill was $70.
And to add insult to injury, they charge 3.5% if you use a CC. Its bad enough they make the customers subsidize their labor, adding the charge for CC, tells me maybe you shouldn’t be in business because you expect your customer to pay your labor and operating costs. I’m being generous with the 2 stars because I’ll never be back.

We came in anywhere super hungry and starved out and we needed food. The service was so friendly and the food was on the table in two minutes. We had the apps in front of us on the table in a few minutes and started eating, and the food was really good

I do not usually do reviews. However, I was disappointed with my experience. The staff was nice and that was the only good thing I can say about it. The food was a huge let down. I got two small slices of beef, that were majority fat and nothing was seasoned. The sides were incredibly small. I could have gone anywhere else for half the price and get better food. I have gone here for celebrations before because the food was so good, but this was not it. I do not plan on returning.

I traveled from western America with a family member and stopped here to get some famous Southern style BBQ and had the worst BBQ of my life. Rolled in around 845 pm and had it to go and it was drier than the Sahara desert. I’m no expert but they say you don’t need sauce but even that did not help. Was so disappointed and would not recommend to anybody. Go to Texas or Kansas and avoid this place like your life depended on it!

It was an OK experience. The wait was very minimal for the food to arrive from the placing of the order, however, the fries did taste as if they were ready to serve 30 minutes prior and were very salty. The chopped pork was good, but was swimming in sauce, so I was unable to experience what the meat tasted like alone and was also fattier than what I’d expect. The Mac&Cheese was really great. The hush puppies crumbled upon tasting but didn’t taste bad. Overall the food was fine, the service and waitress were excellent, but for the price, I expected better quality over all on the food.
