Home style restaurant, steaks, burgers, and a potato. Meals come with soup, salad, and a choice of side. All this for under $25.00 on a Saturday night. Meat was cooked to order and sides were fresh. Overall good meal. Staff was friendly and attentive.

I ordered delivery of the prime rib today with mashed potatoes and a salad and also a cup of chicken rice soup.The food came in a timely manner which was the best part of the meal. Unfortunately the food was not what I expected. The prime rib was cooked to my specific request but it was kinda tough. The mashed potatoes and salad were good but the chicken rice soup unfortunately was inedible.. the rice was overcooked and it didn’t taste very good. Please take care in what you provide for people to eat. I’m so sorry for this terrible review. There’s a lot of time to improve and maybe and I’m certain that it will improve.

Our first time visiting after the new owners. We enjoyed the new J & D steakhouse. The steaks didn’t come to late or to early. The portions were thicker… which I liked. The decor was brighter. A no frills basic steak house. Try it out!

First time here. The decor is nothing fancy at all. The service was very friendly and the food was good. I loved that the owner seemed to know most of the customers by their names. And even remembered what foods they like. Very sweet.

Gross place. Food is poor quality. I’ve been there many times over the years and never had a good meal. Add to that, the gross building, nightmare bathroom and people sneezing, hacking and kids running all over the place… I’ll never go back in there. Their pecan pie is good though.

Was our first time there. What a unique experience the service was wonderful. The food was spectacular. Recommended 100% Hope to be there again soon. We live 90 miles away, but we hopefully will be there soon.

Had lunch there the other day. Had the ribey and fries. It was amazing. Best steak I’ve had in some time. I was extremely pleased with my visit. Not a fancy place, but darn good food.

I found a large bug in my food, I stopped eating immediately and we just asked for our check, the waitress asked me if there was something wrong with our food so I showed her, a man came out who I believe was the owner, he was unclear of his title but he screamed at me in a degrading manor, he insisted that I must have put it there, my husband spoke up and his tone suddenly changed, he could discuss things like a normal human being with him but any time I would chime in his tone would change back to yelling. I have never seen anything like it in my life or had someone make me feel that way. I would never go back and encourage others to not support that type of business.

After 15 years since I was last here it’s the same and absolutely delicious! Everyone is so kind! I recommend this to anyone who wants a steak dinner. Where in the world can you get a steak, potato, salad, soup and drink for under $10?! Only here!
