I’ve came here for a tamale a few months ago. The Tamale was really good just the normal meat and masa. I had also ordered carne asasa taco very very bland with no seasoning. But hey whatever. I came today for the same tamale and was given a tamale with rice potatoes and a BONE. I went back and asked the woman for the original tamale and she was extremely upset and told me to leave and she was not giving me anything because this is how we now make tamales. I asked for my money back and she said NO! The woman who makes the tamales work hard. I told her that I also work hard for my money what is the difference. I asked her for my money back and she swung her hand in my face to dismiss me and answered the phone to attend someone else. This should be something that is told to your customers not oh well this is what you get. The only reason I gave two stars is because the original way they made the tamales were good. The customer service is absolutely TRASH ️! There is a taco stand near by called La Frontera & there tacos are authentic with perfect seasoning and tamales are made extremely good, customer service is also top tier. Had I been two more lights down I would’ve just went there. If you want authentic flavor, great customer service go to LA FRONTERA!

Great spot for Mexican food. I has the Asado Tacos. They were great with good flavor. The staff was very nice and food was hot in ready in no time … if I’m in the are I would definitely stop in again. Not bad prices, either. Although it looks small, they have tables in the back for dinning in.

Honduran food cooked to order. Tacos were delicious and the Verde sauce was tasty and spicy. Mrs. Torres (the owner) was working the front counter greeting patrons as they came in. We ordered our food and then shopped in the cantina. Quiet area towards the back to sit and eat. Thanks again! Will return.

*Cheap, gummy, hard to bite meat, tasted old and terrible
-Burritos
*Tasted like they used the day before ingredients, made everyone sick after eating.
I’m 100% sure there’s plenty more people like us that are really unhappy with the service provided by JD Cocina, I hope they read this and make improvements to the way they make busines for the people of Baton Rouge.
