My guy lived on the coast for several years and moved back to Aiken. He said this is THE BEST seafood he’s had since he came back from the coast. It was absolutely delicious. Seasoning was great and you can buy seasonings and dips to take home. You order inside and go out to a covered, screened in porch area to eat. There are fans for the summer and a heater for the winter.

We bought almost 3lbs of fresh cod filets for about $50.00 and we cooked them for Christmas dinner and in the very first bite it was full of bones and every that tried the fish got a mouthful of bones. So needless to say it went in thr trash. I reached out to Chris the so called manager and explained the situation and he could care less that Jaycees sold fish filets full of bones what a horrible response from a manager that doesn’t even care to try and make the situation any better. Horrible personality and customer service. Please be aware of buying any seafood from there as it’s obvious they don’t know how to filet fresh fish and don’t care if a customer gets bones in every bite. We will never make another purchase from this horrible ignorant establishment.

JC’s is a great discovery. We had a LowCountry Boil with so much delicious shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob. I felt as if we were on a little vacation. You order the fresh ingredients and then sit in a water-cooled, enclosed patio. Kyle was great and helpful. Can’t wait to go back. If you love seafood & a bucket of cool ones , live anywhere near Aiken, and have not gone to JC’s Seafood on Whiskey, Well, you’re missing out. #H ME

Edit- upgrading last couple times I’ve went the food quality and service has greatly improved. Dining in at the bait shack is no frills and cozy.
Support local business if you can. My only complaint is that fish information is not available. I want to know where it was sourced, farmed or wild caught. Would be nice to see this information upfront. The main draw here is the low-country broil. Just make sure you get spicy… hot isn’t really hot in my view.
edit – Updated review dropped 2 star for customer service. This location is OK but oftentimes I feel like the staff could care less about customers coming in and just wants to rush them out. If I’m the only customer how about making small talk once in a while? This is a local place not some corporation. Forming relationships with customer should be at your forefront of your business model. That said food is still good so 3 stars for that.

My wife and I were vacationing here in Aiken and decided to visit JC’s. We both ordered the Low Country Boil with the Crab legs. It was absolutely amazing. Well seasoned, very generous portions. And the service was very welcoming. If and when we return to Aiken, we will definitely be stopping at JC’s.

As a Maryland native, I am serious about my seafood and had all but given up on seafood in the CSRA. Then, I found JC’s Seafood. The crabs, low-country boil, shrimp, and fish are to die for. The best seafood I have had outside of Maryland.
