Incredibly quick service. I have tried both the barbacoa and asada burritos, and they are both spectacularly delicious. The cold green and red sauce served with the burritos ready enhance the flavor—spicy and delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking was easy.

Absolutely delicious! So good that we decided to come back 2 days later before we leave New Mexico.
We got their asada torta. The bread is so soft and fluffy, almost like melting in your mouth. Very lightly toasted, just enough for a little crunchy outside and soft and fluffy inside. Good portion of meat.
We also got their carne El pastor taco and buche taco. First time we were here, they said we can choose up to 2 meats so we did carne El pastor and buche. The second, we just get a full (4 tacos) carne El pastor and a full order of buche.
The carne el pastor taco… The spice they use is very special. It tastes with a kick of sour but very fragrant. I don’t know what spice they use but all I know is I can’t stop eating. The meat is not dry, and very extremely flavorful. The buche has similar spices but without the sour. Adding lime to buche definitely elevates it’s flavor. Lots of meats. we went to other places ordered a family size, and the meat in that family size (good portion) is still not as many as JC tortas.

The food is good here. Prepared well with good flavor. They have great tacos. I’d also recommend their burritos, tortas and agua frescas. It’s one of the better Mexican restaurants that I’ve been to in Las Cruces. They are short handed on staff. Only one cook and the lady working the counter. I’ve heard a lot of people say that she’s rude. Or they didn’t like her service.
While she doesn’t bother me. She’s certainly not friendly. She also refuses to communicate with me in English. Even though she’s an American. The restaurant also sometimes closes earlier than the stated business hours. Aside from all of that. The food is really good.

Good lil place for real Mexican tacos and tortas. The Mexican shrimp cocktail has a unique taste, I believe they put orange juice in it, could be wrong though… They have good selection of Mexican sodas and liquados (milkshakes) overall good experience, will definitely go back…

We really enjoyed finding this place, the food was delicious! We ordered tacos de tripa morada and they were amazing. The tacos themselves were a great size, with plenty of toppings and two lime halves. We also had the licuado de mango con leche which was so good
