I’m all about supporting new restaurants (since I’ma foodie), but I was not impressed. First, the garnish that’s put on the food isn’t needed. Fried shrimp & sweet potatoes were good. Baked Mac & Chesse and rice very dry, fries were soggy and the chicken was so so.

I came from ATL to visit and it turns out I was hungry. I stopped by this restaurant. I had oxtail platter and seafood salad. Honestly it was really good. I recommend it to everyone

I really wanted to love this new establishment, especially since I enjoy supporting new businesses in the community. But my first experience left me disappointed.
When I arrived, I was puzzled that they were only accepting cash, Cash App, Zelle, or Apple Pay. I was told their system was down, but for a brand new spot, that felt a little unorganized.
I ordered a rice and vegetables dish and made it clear that I was open to options since my boyfriend is vegan. When he opened the container, the “dish” was literally white rice, corn, and broccoli three separate items, nothing mixed or seasoned together. The broccoli was extremely soft, the corn he did enjoy, but it’s hard to go wrong with plain white rice.
I also ordered a side of mac and cheese, which is normally my absolute favorite. Unfortunately, it was nothing close to a mac and cheese taste. I’m not sure what cheeses were used, but the flavor and texture were completely off.
I ordered yams as well, but when I came back to pick up my food, they told me they were out. The sides are listed at $6 each, yet they initially handed me back only $5. I had to remind them of the price before receiving the full refund.
In the end, I paid $26 for white rice, two pieces of corn, a small side of broccoli, and a mac and cheese I couldn’t eat.
I truly hope this place becomes successful because I love to see people building something of their own. But based on my experience, I will NOT be returning.

Not only is the food delicious, the serving size is incredible for the price! It’s like lunch and dinner, because it’s so much to eat! The fact that it’s take out doesn’t ruin the vibe. You walk in and you’re greeted with a smile, a few welcoming words and great music! If you live in Norwood, Swarthmore, Glenolden, Ridley Park, Sharon Hill and of course, Folcroft, you have to try them out. And even if you’re coming from as far as Camden or Cherry Hill, it will be well worth the drive. Go get you some!

This is an extremely professional establishment run by humane, caring people. They answer their phones quickly and prepare the food even faster. Furthermore, they provided a sample of their Buffalo Chicken Egg Roll – My mom adores this item, and she’s always sending me back for it.
Ultimately, this is a friendly, clean, and safe establishment in an incredibly convenient location (near two Dollar Stores, a Sunoco gas station, and a variety of smaller shops). They’re very new, but absolutely fantastic!

I’ve been a long time customer of the Upper Darby location and was so excited when I heard they were opening a store front on Folcroft! Authentic African food where EVERYTHING is home made and made fresh DAILY!!! Cannot reccomend the Turkey Wings, yams, and baked Mac and cheese platter enough!!! It’s a must try for everyone in the area!!!!
