My husband and I had walked past this place so many times, but were confused for a little while on if it was part of Just Food or a restaurant on its own. After seeing a post on a local Facebook group, we were reminded about it and decided to go in with his parents as well. Everything we got was delicious, although, if you are a spice wimp like me, a little on the spicy side. It’s a very small space inside (~11 chairs?) and we went on a cold, winter day so we sat inside and it ended up pretty packed, but there is a lot of outdoor seating for nicer weather. We also got the Horchata and Thai iced tea in both were delicious!

The vibes: immaculate
The food: delicious
The price: surprisingly good

The chefs were debating about what their spirit pokemon would be while they made the mood. Some old guy sat next to me said he couldn’t understand why people put fries in Mexican food. I truly felt like I was expecting Lawrence.

I had the Thai chicken wrap and it was phenomenal! Especially with the spicy sunflower sauce. Cool little spot. They have a truck too.

Just got done posting to their Facebook and left the same review. JB’s is a new favorite spot for me. Had our first order (a burrito, some fries, and some fries in my burrito) on Friday. Then had it 2 more nights in a row. Unashamed. Had the same thing all 3 nights. Staff is cool, owner is awesome. Go get you a burrito.

(P.s. Tried to remember to take pics of the food, but it never survived long enough for me to stop to take any.)

We’ll be back soon.

I was born and raised in Southern California and have eaten many California burritos throughout my life there.
This place makes me feel like im walking into one of my go to places everytime I go home for a visit.
Everything has been delicious. Down to the fries they use. No mushy soggy fries. Its already become a regular place i eat. Highly recommend!

Little shop with great unique burritos. Everyone here is super friendly. It’s now my favorite burrito place in town. Should definitely give it a try if you have never been.

The prices are always the highlight here. Can always depend on them for a good solid meal at a solid price. JB’s is a great place and they always have different specials going on. The poutine fries special is fantastic. Please keep it on the menu!

JB’s is amazing food for a great price! The value you get is fantastic, the burritos are HUGE! Can’t recommend the Korean Beef burrito enough! Eat in-store if you can – if you get take-out, you lose the amazing crunch on the tortillas (it’s still really good though!!).

My Fiancée and I have eaten at JB’s many times and are never disappointed! Most recently we had the curry fried rice burrito and the Korean Fried Chicken burrito and both were Ca$h money. We usually opt for the burritos which are a hefty, however we also have had the nachos and they are stellar as well.

We usually eat at the brick and mortar but have also gotten food from the food truck, where service was fast and the food was fresh and delicious.

My fiancée wishes they would put their Ube Horchata on the menu permanently after we tried it during Lawrence restaurant week, she talks about it all the time!

The atmosphere and vibe of JBs is also classic Lawrence. It feels like a throwback to the old days where downtown was a hub of cool, eclectic businesses and restaurants!

All in all if you’re looking for something unique and delicious, you gotta get to JBs! We’re hoping they stick around for a long time!

We tried the food truck first, and it was a little disappointing. The Carnitas tacos had no flavor whatsoever, even with the cilantro, onions, and cheese. The sauces were pretty good, though.
Walking takis with the Korean beef was pretty enjoyable.

After that, we were only half a block away from the restaurant, so we decided to try it out. It wouldn’t be fair to judge it just based on the truck.

Once there, we ordered 2 burritos, a Korean chicken, and a curry chicken.
The curry burrito wasn’t bad. It had a good flavor to it, but I thought it was a little too dry, I felt like it was missing just a little something extra to help with that.
I did like the Korean chicken, It could have used a little extra sauce, but it wasn’t dry like the other one.

All things considered, including the price, I would go back to try a couple more menu options. Other than the carnitas (at least on the food truck) there wasn’t anything bad, just room for improvement.
