I seen a video the other that with the owners in it, (former Bucs player) so I wanted to give it a go. I got the 3 meat selection. I ordered ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. ( I love brisket) the lady suggested I get pulled chicken instead of the pork because I already had pork for the other 2 sides, I agreed and said ok let’s get pulled chicken instead of pulled pork. When I got home I got 2 sides of pulled pork and pulled chicken and ribs. Oh well I ate it.
The Mac and cheese 5/5 for sure. Probably top 3 Mac n cheese I’ve ever had, I like to put bbq sauce on it.
The baked beans I’d say 4/5 only because I never had sweet beans before but they were still good.
The bread they added was perfect, it was soft and was good with the pulled chicken. The ribs were kinda dry but still good I’d give them a 2.5/5 and both pulled meats 4/5.
I would say all in all it was great 3.75/5. What I hate is when I pay and I’m charged to use my debit card and not cash which debit is cash. I’ll be back to try the brisket next time but I’ll make sure I have cash on me.

First time trying Jazzy’s BBQ and overall it was a good experience. I ordered takeout (did not dine in) and placed my order right when I arrived. The food was ready in under five minutes, which was impressive.
I ordered the three-meat combo with brisket, sausage, and ribs, plus mac & cheese and coleslaw. It also came with a dinner roll, which was a nice touch. I didn’t get a drink, and the total for just the combo was $27.93.
The mac & cheese was a solid 5/5 — creamy and flavorful. The sausage was also 5/5, very well seasoned and delicious. The ribs weren’t quite fall-off-the-bone tender and were a little on the dry side, but they had a really good smoky flavor. The brisket was good.
Since it was my first visit, I tried both BBQ sauces (regular and spicy). They’re not thick, but they’re flavorful, and I definitely preferred the spicy over the regular.
All in all, I enjoyed the food and would definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

Found jazzy’s near our hotel. While I think the food was good, I would give it four stars. The service and atmosphere is what made me give this place 5 stars. As someone who came from NY, I definitely felt the southern hospitality. For other reviews I’ve seen of people saying there was no black representation in the establishment, there literally was today. Overall I will be back to try other food and update my review after I try other meats and hopefully even the cornbread. We had the ribs, which were nice but the bbq sauce definitely elevated the flavor. It also is family friendly, we got enough food to feed our family of 5 (two men three women) and still have at least two ribs left for one of us to snack on later for $50. I liked the Mac and cheese because it seemed more like traditional Mac and cheese in comparison to gooey Mac and cheese that many people expect today.

Excellent BBQ meats. Coleslaw and potato salad were my top 2 picks from the sides we had. Husband chose coleslaw as Best Side. We sampled 5 meats & all are worth going back for!

I got food here last year and was looking forward to eating here again. I ordered 5 ribs that were over $25 and ended up being the toughest piece of meat I’ve had. I purchased old trapper jerky that day and the jerky was way more tender than these ribs. The coleslaw was great. Try something other than the ribs.

Found this BBQ spot during my vacation, and what a gem. The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the service was amazing as well. I wasn’t a fan of the bbq sauce, but that’s just me. I like a tangy, not sweet, sauce. The collard greens and mac & cheese were both good, and I am very picky when it comes to those 2 sides. I will definitely visit this place again whenever I’m in the area.

Traveling for work, I found this place. Atmosphere was nice. When I go to a bbq place I choose not have bbq sauce on the meat , cause it take away the flavor of the meat. Had the brisket dinner with beans and potatoe salad.. Bean and potatoe salad were good and had flavor. Brisket was decent. Could use a little more flavor. Then I order the kings of kings meal to go. Was disappointed. I left and hotel was 10mind away. Pork, brisket and chicken was Jerry. Ribs could have been cooked more. Could tell was from yesterday cook. Bbq doesn’t get that way in 10mins.. May try again as the in house meal was good. Just cause it is to go. Should serve old food.

First time in was atmosphere was very nice was greeted upon arrival. I had ribs& fries ribs were good, but the sauce was very watery. I expected a thicker more heartier sauce. Also soda machine wasn’t working properly.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The entire place smelled heavily of smoke, to the point where it was difficult to breathe inside. Unfortunately, the food was even worse. The dishes lacked seasoning, the sides were poorly prepared, and nearly everything including the barbecue sauce was overwhelmed with mustard. What I was served resembled a beef fat sandwich rather than quality barbecue.
What made this more frustrating was the response from the owner. Instead of addressing the issues with the food, the focus was on criticizing my grammar. A professional response would have acknowledged the concerns and shown a willingness to improve. Dismissing feedback in such a way only reflects poorly on the business.
I also want to note that this restaurant is advertised as Black owned, yet there did not appear to be any Black representation in the kitchen. Representation matters, especially when the cuisine being served is so deeply rooted in Black culture.
Overall, this was the worst barbecue I have ever had in Tampa. I ended up driving across town just to find a place that served food worth eating. Rather than spending time arguing with customers online, I encourage the owners to put that same energy into improving food quality, seasoning, and authenticity. Customers deserve better.

Seems like an establishment that’s been here for many years. Chopped wood in the back, jazz music playing when you walk in. 90s interior with lots of wood accents and airbrushed jazz decor on the walls.
PROS
– the smell of smoked bbq as soon as you walk in
– hefty servings
– chicken, cornbread and potato salad were delicious
– clean establishment
– nice people
– Fresh tea
CONS
– interior may be too smokey if you don’t want to smell like bbq the rest of the day
– upcharges for white meat chicken, cornbread, even bbq sauce. I ordered a $20 2 meat platter and received a tiny container of bbq sauce
– website shows stock photos on real plates. Actual food is served on Styrofoam
– I’m a Texas Brisket man and judge all bbq restaurants by their brisket… flavorful, but chewy and a bit dry. Used all my bbq sauce.
Overall not a bad spot. I’d eat here again but wouldn’t order brisket next time.
