Wow! Great brisket and pulled pork! Stopped in for lunch on a trip to Fargo. As a southerner, I had no idea what to expect from ND barbecue, but was blown away by the flavor! And then there were the beans…YUMMM! Our waiter, Garret was great to talk with and very helpful. Jay’s was recommended to another group we met who were also visiting. They, too, loved it! If I’m ever in Fargo again, Jay’s is a must!

Things I liked – There were various seating options available including high top booth, short booth with high privacy backs, and table seating. The food came out hot and was presented well. All of the meats had a nice texture, were juicy, and weren’t full of unnecessary fatty pieces. The sauce bottles at each of the tables were nice and clean, not all sticky or covered in dried up sauce. The ribs had great flavor!

I had the combo tacos – brisket, pulled pork, and turkey. The waitress recommended the beans as well because they were scratch made and in her words “really good”. My god! Everything was amazing. The brisket was my favorite and then the turkey. It was so moist. And the beans definitely did not disappoint.

I was seated quickly. The place wasn’t busy at lunch time. I wanted to try ribs. But they won’t have it until 4:30. So I settled for lean brisket with beans, potato salad and corn bread. The brisket was a bit dry. Lesson learned, don’t order lean brisket! They had 4 different bbq sauces. I liked the spicy one. Pairs well with dry brisket. The beans was delicious. The potato salad was good. Corn bread was so-so. They only had 1 dessert, Banana pudding. Since I am not a fan of it, I didn’t order. The server was nicely dressed and attentive. The price was reasonable-about $19 before tips. Would like to go back and try ribs. May be another time. There is 15-25 mins wait time once you place order to get your food on table

Ate here for brunch and it was awesome! Their breakfast options were all very tempting but we settled on breakfast tacos (bacon and pulled pork) with hash browns, and the cinnamon sugar coated French toast with bacon and breakfast potatoes. We came in at 1 and had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth the wait! Everything was hot and tasted good. All the meat was tender and moist, eggs and French toast were nice and fluffy, and the potatoes were crispy and light, just needed a little salt. I will definitely come back soon for lunch/dinner. (Everything cost about $35)

The ribs are arguably the best in town. For my fellow ranch lovers the ranch here is runny.(Runny ranch = best ranch :D) My server Garret was was great! Kept my drink full and checked on me often. The atmosphere inside kind of gave me a “good BBQ on a Sunday morning” vibe. (If that makes sense?)

I had the two meat combo – brisket (moist) and ribs with Mac & cheese and cornbread. husband had the loaded nachos but on fries. Delicious. I enjoyed mixing the smoky and mild bbq sauces and hubby added the spicy and smoky sauces to his food. Great service from Garrett! Will definitely go back since there were multiple things on the menu we’d like to try.

Nice bbq place!! Very friendly server, food was awesome. Had the brisket and the ribs with the chips and gluten free buns. The brisket was scrumptious and the gold and mild sauces were my favorite. Must stop here and eat if you are passing thru Fargo. You will not be disappointed.

The meat and sides were outstanding. Great quality. Brisket could have been more smokey, but was moist and delicious. Loved the selection of sauces, each was great. This is a family business and it was clear they love their customers. Keep up the great work!
